FIRST OF ALL: I have loved Meghan Quinn books for years now & I've read almost all of them, so obviously I read & loved Just for the Cameras (book 1 in this series). I eagerly awaited book 2's release and it was somehow even better.

Highly recommend if you're into romcoms that deliver on feet-kicking moments, banter, a reverse 🔄 age gap, and a side character that is absolutely deranged (lookin at you, OC).

Side note: OC is hands down the best character in this series & I will die on that hill.

What's your favorite Meghan Quinn book? If you haven't discovered her yet, get yourself out from under that rock and get 👏🏻 to 👏🏻 it! 🩷

Today, March 3rd, is TNBC Day! @tnbcfoundation

Sometimes it feels like another lifetime ago that I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and then went through chemo, surgery, radiation & reconstruction. Here I am at almost three years since diagnosis and I feel incredibly grateful for this life I fought so hard for.

My post is later today because I was taking care of 3 sick kiddos, which is exactly what I wanted to stick around to experience: more of being their mom.

I still have a lot of fear of recurrence. I still struggle with anxiety and PTSD. I'm still healing my mind, body & soul. But at some point after treatment, you go minutes without being consumed with cancer. Then minutes become hours. Hours become days. Days become weeks. Suddenly you realize that you're actually living in the here & now. Your life is not dictated by doctor's appointments or scans. It's just regular ole life. You still have scars, but they're healing. Even if it seems slow at times.

So if you're in the beginning of your journey or in the thick of treatment, here's 3 things I want you to know:

1. You can handle more than you think. There's no difference between the women who seem SO strong & you. Being strong sometimes means just doing it scared.

2. Be kind to yourself. Your body will go through so many changes. Some of them will be excruciating to deal with. Go easy on yourself. Beauty is bald, scarred, breasts or no breasts, swollen & bruised. When everything you think is beautiful gets stripped down, you discover the things that truly make us beautiful.

3. Cancer is different for everyone. You'll have unique experiences despite having the exact same staging & type of cancer as someone else. Their story is not your story.

Two years ago today I finished my ✨ life as a chemo girl ✨

And now here I am doing ✨ life as a showgirl ✨ or at least pretending to this weekend.

So grateful that God brought me through one of the worst times of my life so I can be in this healthy era making the best memories with my family & celebrating all the things.
