It’s been over a week since my graduation and honestly I was a little apprehensive about celebrating and sharing this accomplishment at my age. Society has a way of making people feel like there’s a timeline for success, and if you don’t follow it perfectly, it somehow means less.
But this degree means so much more than just graduating from community college. It represents every late night, every setback, every moment I wanted to give up but didn’t. It represents balancing life, responsibilities, growth, healing, and still choosing to keep going.
This wasn’t “just” a degree. This was perseverance. This was rebuilding confidence in myself. This was proving that it’s never too late to become who you’re meant to be.
And for anyone else who feels behind in life — you’re not. Your journey is still worthy of being celebrated. 🤍🎓
