Brown Butter Discard Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪
Sourdough is wayyyy more than just bread!
These are kid approved, my son LOVES these. So rich, gooey & filling, definitely not your average cookie.
Happy Baking!
Recipe:
1 stick salted butter - browned
1/3 c brown sugar
1c granulated sugar
1 large egg
80g room temperature sourdough discard
1 tbs vanilla
235g all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
measured semi sweet chocolate chips (l prrsonally prefer Ghirardelli or toll house)

Apple Cinnamon Focaccia with a vanilla icing 😋🍎
.

My forgot-to-dimple focaccia turned out a lil wonky but my son said it was his “most favorite bread you’ve ever made mom; I’m serious!” So that’s all my lil heart needed to hear after feeling so crappy for forgetting my FAVORITE step at that. Somedays you just get caught up in the chaos but still something good can come from it. 🥹🫶🏽

I love making things from scratch.
Brown sugar you make vs buy has so much more depth and flavor.

Brown sugar at home 🤗
- 1 cup white sugar for every 1 tbs of molasses. No mixer required. I use a whisk for the first portion and finish it off with a hand pulverizer; no chunks left behind.
-Stores in a mason jar and can be used for baking, topping or in your favorite latte.
