This year on August 28th, I will be celebrating 15 years cancer-free.

It seems surreal to reach this milestone for many reasons, especially because of all the beautiful people the world has lost to blood cancer along the way.

In honor of my 15 year “rebirth day”, I am so proud to share that I’ve started a fundraising team for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night event in Cincinnati, Ohio!

I’m especially excited because my amazing sister, Maddie Filisky, is in charge of running this event as Campaign Development Specialist with LLS. It’s truly serendipitous <3

Our amazing team, LIGHTS OUT, LEUKEMIA, is made up of friends and family, all dedicated to ending the fight against blood cancer. Any amount helps and your donation would mean the world - not just to me, but to countless families and individuals who are dealing with a diagnosis, acting as a caregiver to someone in their fight, or in the throws of grief from losing a loved one.

It’s the best day of the year! Mac and I are celebrating 8 years of marriage…and our baby girl Beans is 5 years old!
