I thought it would be cool to share part of my vocal recording for Strip the Rot - Re-tarnished (COMING SOON!)

Let me know what you think!

Fun facts:

💀 The original track is nearly 10 years old!

💀💅🏻I am currently the only active female death metal vocalist in South Africa

My two stage personalities with one passion - music.

I don't often post about myself or try make a big deal about who I am and what I do but I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that I have been part of the scene for 13 years and been playing in bands for about 11 of those.

Hilliker allows me to unleash my inner beast on bass, I dedicate every single show I do to my late dad, although I feel he would not quite have enjoyed the music, I like to believe he would be proud of me. Plus I get to be covered in gore which makes my horror loving heart happy.

Surdus allows me to unleash another kind of beast and let's me show my heart through my growls. I stand to be corrected but whilst I am not the only female vocalist in SA, I am one of two fully death metal female vocalists in SA (that are active) and I'm pretty proud of that. I don't do my vocals to prove anything other than to myself that I can do it and above all else, I love doing it.

The best thing about being in two bands? I get to stand beside my husband who is my biggest hype man and the one who inspires me the most.

I will keep making music and performing until I can't.

Until then, here's to the love of music now and for always.
