26.2 MILES OF HEART, DETERMINATION and POWERFUL PURPOSE! 🗽

A HUGE congratulations to our remarkable board members @chelsealovell__ and @kjanderson4 who crossed the finish line at the New York City Marathon yesterday! 🎉👏🏽

After MONTHS of training, dedication, early mornings and continuous miles, these two amazing women accomplished something truly extraordinary!

But what makes their journey even more special is that they weren't just running for themselves. They were running for @pawsitiveforheroes - a program dedicated to supporting our nation's heroes by providing trained PTSD service dogs to veterans in need.

Chels & Kels - we could not be MORE PROUD of you! Not only do you give so much of your hearts to this community, but you continue to inspire us by showing what it means to lead with purpose, passion and perseverance.

Please join us in giving these two rockstars a HUGE round of applause!!

SWIPE LEFT to see their amazing victory pictures from the Big Apple and also from runs in Buffalo! 💪🏽🙌🏼

We ❤️ you!

I’ve attended hundreds of galas and fundraisers over the years, but tonight’s Family Justice Center of Erie County "Toast to Hope" Gala was truly one of the most emotional and powerful events I have ever experienced.

Hearing the stories of survivors who have endured unimaginable pain, found the courage to reclaim their lives and continue to move forward was incredibly moving. Hearing from families who have lost loved ones to domestic violence was gutwrenching. There are simply no words that can take away that kind of pain.

Tonight was such an important reminder of why organizations like the Family Justice Center are so desperately needed. The work they do is not just important... it is lifesaving.

I also want to recognize my dear friend Chelsea Lovell, who did an unforgettable job as tonight’s emcee. Her willingness to share her own personal experience with such a deeply important cause brought another level of vulnerability, strength and meaning to an already emotional evening. It takes tremendous courage to share your story, and I have so much admiration for her.

I had the honor of sitting at a table surrounded by friends who truly believe in the power of community, especially when someone is suffering. @lwex2000, @mollyopit, @chelsealovell__ and @smcnett20 are women who understand the importance of showing up and standing beside those who are suffering. I am so grateful to have shared this emotional evening with women who genuinely care about lifting others up. 💜

I left tonight with a heavy heart for the families who have experienced unimaginable loss, the victims who suffer many times silently and an even greater appreciation for the people who dedicate their lives to helping others find safety and HOPE.

Congratulations, FJC, on a beautiful and absolutely critical "Toast to Hope" fundraiser.
