POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was going to wait a few days to share this but I can’t contain my excitement for this new beginning. I’ve never felt so fulfilled and hopeful in my entire life. 4 nights ago, I found out that Joel Osteen was doing baptisms this weekend. With the help of my mother, I immediately booked a trip to Houston. I’ve always considered Joel as a vessel to my personal relationship with God. I started off listening to his sermons involuntarily as a kid every morning before school. Almost 20 years later, I still listen to his sermons daily via podcast. In 4 days, I’ll reach my 3 month mark of sobriety from alcohol. It was a poison that had me in a chokehold throughout my entire young adult life. I’ve finally found the courage and desire to surrender and let it go completely (and forever, I hope). Thus far, it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I knew there was no better way to celebrate my REBIRTH than to be baptized by the man who connected me spiritually to God. I’ve visited many different churches and experienced many great pastors. However, Joel and his ministry have been a constant in my life. And no one’s sermons connect with me on the same level of his. I instantly felt that same connection and comfort today. My heart is so full. 🥹🙏🏾❤️ taken in Lakewood Church by @chelseandavis

Last dumparoo of my favorite memories on my favorite project yet!!

Fun fact, I actually started out as a stand-in on the show. First for Candace the RA (for the pilot) and then for Rashida throughout the season. The rest is history. Definitely made some friends for life with this one. ❤️

The gang 🥹❤️

One thing I’m ALWAYS going to do is go full out for these rehearsals. And be off book! And no, idc if “tHeY dON’t uSUaLlY hAvE uS rUN liNES. 🤪” I don’t wait on opportunities, I take them!

Another fun fact: in high school, I became OBSESSED with Atlanta and wanted badly to attend Clark or Spelman for college (after watching College Hill lol). So I had my mom bring me all the way to Atlanta to tour the AUC when I was in the 9th or 10th grade. I end up going to college back home in Arkansas but I moved to Atlanta as soon as I graduated. It’s funny because this month marks 10 years that I’ve been living in Atlanta and look what God did! And I still ended up at the AUC, just not in the way I initially thought that I would. 🙏🏾

Most of all, thank you for creating such a fun and fulfilling show not only on screen but behind the scenes as well!

Thank you to the best acting coach, cheerleader and support system @lelunddurond! Since day one, you’ve been rooting for me and speaking so much life into me. I appreciate you for being such a light and keeping us all encouraged.

This was my first booking with my new agency and my first time ever in Nashville. It was a faith based program for kids teaching them about the goodness of God. I feel like this was literally God’s way of telling me He has me and my career in the palm of His hands. And He will find a way to use me for His greater purpose no matter where I am in life. Just found out I can’t share any actual footage from the shoot because it’s a subscription based church program, but here’s a little BTS. This one meant a lot to me so it’s only right I share something. ❤️ taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @chelseandavis
