Come take a look at our annual Harry Potter Halloween party! This year we were lucky enough to have Halloween on a Saturday so we went big. The boys have been asking me to make them into centaurs for an entire year now, so I started really early in October knowing it was a huge undertaking to build two moving horse butts. You can watch the progression of that build here - it took so many hours of labor I couldn’t even believe it. I also made Jake’s Viktor Krum costume out of a giant Snuggie and a kids fur vest! After all the costumes were taken care of, I started on the menu, making all kinds of fun adult and kid beverages in potion form. For food I made a giant @texasroadhouse charcuterie board and it was a big hit. We also had plenty of HP themed treats and desserts. For the party we had the movies playing in the background and filled up a kiddie pool with 540 juice boxes to hand out to the trick or treaters. We invited friends and family out, had neighbors join us, and the festivities went into the night ending with some fireworks. We all took the kids trick or treating and we somehow ended up with buckets full of candy. “Harry” Halloween is one of our very favorite holidays and it was definitely one for the books! #Harrypotter #harrypotterparty #harrypotterhalloween #bookstagram by @chelseas_books

Well this was wild! I literally finished this book yesterday after spending nearly two weeks with it. Then I find this special edition in the mail and I wasn’t expecting it at all. Such a cool surprise! Review on Goodreads, link in bio. @fairyloot @ravenkennedybooks #thesweetestfiend by @chelseas_books

I barely made it in time for bookclub after a full day of the county fair, outdoor playing, and soccer games. Did I smell? Yeah probably. But I was just happy to see my book girlies and get out for the evening. Can’t wait for next month’s spooky and cozy book choices! The fall has some of the best themed books 📚 by @chelseas_books

August book club! Dont know what they read, came for the good vibes and the Cowgirl dinner 🤠. Food was great and so was the company 💕 by @chelseas_books

I think our photographer had one too many glasses of wine, because this is the clearest photo he got of us 😆 but always a great time with the book club gals 💕 #beachreadsandbubblywesthouston #bookclub #houstonbookclub @beachreadsandbubbly by @chelseas_books

As my friend Carol said, “our book club is better than yours”. But seriously this is the best book club party of the year. We meet up at my house, go on a trailer ride to see the lights in our neighborhood, and then come back to eat, drink, and have a white elephant gift exchange. It’s the greatest and these girls are the best. Merry Christmas, everyone! 💕 by @chelseas_books

Oh yes…Celaena…right. Dorian and Chaol? I mean…probably both of them right?

This is your sign to grab your book bestie and go sipping and shopping for one of a kind treasures. But seriously, how awesome is this cowgirl hat I came home with?? We’re all obsessed with it 💛🤠 @mbethmac by @chelseas_books
