I understand now why all those ladies booked a shampoo and style with my Big Mama at “Sandra’s Cuts N Curls every Friday morning. ❤️

I used to just think they were coming to get their hair done, but now I realize… they were coming for so much more than that.

They were coming to sit in her chair, talk about life, laugh, vent, feel beautiful, and probably leave feeling a little lighter than when they walked in.

Now that I’m a hairstylist myself, I understand it in a way I never could back then. There’s something so special about being trusted with someone’s hair, but even more special about being trusted with their stories.

Big Mama was creating a little piece of community in that salon chair long before I ever understood what that meant. ❤️

And now I get it. 🤍

I remember the NICU holding her before I ever got the chance to. From the very beginning, she was a special girl. I made mistakes. I grew. I learned. I cried. I prayed. Three kids. Three personalities. Three completely different little worlds. 🥹✨

I love watching them grow into who they are and seeing their personalities come through in their rooms ☺️

Their rooms are a little reflection of their hearts, their interests, and all the things that make them them.
I hope they always know they have a home where they can be completely themselves ❤️

And I truly don’t know how we got here so fast.

He has the softest heart. He notices people others might walk right past. He’s always the one who asks me to stop and give money to someone who is homeless because he genuinely wants to help. That kind of heart is something I pray he carries with him forever.

He still climbs into bed with his mama. He still needs his cuddles. He still makes me laugh until I cry with the CRAZY things he says and does every day. And even though he’s getting bigger, I will always see that tiny blonde haired baby we called “bubby”…. Now we call him “Trippy”…

Happy 9th birthday to my sweet, tender-hearted boy. 💙 You are so deeply loved, more than you’ll ever know! We love Trippy! He’s requested a breakfast feast for dinner tonight… so off to the grocery store I go! 😂 by @chelseyaddinall

Meet my newest little obsession from Easy Plant 🪴✨

My Father & Mother in law gifted me a gift card from @easyplant for my birthday. I’ve already added a couple more to the cart 🙈🫢

A beautiful plant AND it waters itself?! Say less. 😂🙌🏼🌿

Perfect for a busy girl who loves having plants around but doesn’t always remember to water them. 🤣🤎 I’m officially convinced I need one in every room!

You fill the compartment up with water, and I don’t have to touch it for 30 days. It’s supposed to get a little over six feet tall!

Another year around the sun. So thankful for this life!

Had a little celebration at Top Golf (planned by the best husband) 🥰 they have the best Mac and cheese bites foreal.
Celebrated with all my favorite people.

My best girls made me a basket full of goodies 🥰💕

Woke up this morning to breakfast in bed, cuddled and watched movies the first part of the day! (Yall should really watch “The whisper man”)

Also woke up to a bunch of messages wishing me a happy birthday. I have the best family and friends in the world!

Officially the owner of Colored by Chels. ✨
What started as a dream is now my business, and something I’m so incredibly proud to call mine. 🤍✂️

I will share a little dream of mine, that doesn’t seem so out of reach.

Owning a small salon (maybe I’ll paint it pink ✨💗)

I want to create a space where new and growing stylists can have a beautiful salon home without booth rent costing an arm and a leg. A place where you can build your clientele, learn, grow, and actually make money while doing what you love. I love helping new stylist, it fills my cup for sure!

I know how hard it is starting out, and I want to make that journey a little easier for the next stylist. ✂️🩷

But for now, I’m truly grateful that I have my own little hair business , and I couldn’t be here without my AMAZING clients.
