Coco Josephine Belz made her way earth side in the birthplace of Sinatra on the spring equinox, 3/21/25 or as Kev says 3..2..1 ! buzzer beater style. 🏀🧡
After 24ish hrs of natural labor into the wee small hours of the morning that ended in an emergency c section due to a triple nuchal cord. (Umbilical cord wrapped around her neck 3 times!) she was born strong and healthy.
This was not the serene birthing center water birth we had wanted and prepared for for so many months and the week in the hospital was straight up traumatic. (Props to the nurses in recovery who were my only saving grace) It hasn’t been easy and I’ll be processing the experience for a long time to come…But me and my girl are resilient and we made it to the other side together.
We also have had so much help and support from family and friends. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, sent food, cards, gifts, gentle words of encouragement and love, all the things. Big thank you to my mom and Kev who have been and my bedside nurses from the hospital to home while I’ve been recovering from surgery and taking on this new most important role as mom. Our babe is here and that’s all that matters. Love you all. 💓💞🫶👩🏼👨🏻‍🦲👶🏼🐶
