It’s all still a big blur…⁣ ⁣ I don’t know how we survived it. ⁣ ⁣ This wasn’t the end of it, ⁣ I was finally free to go home — but ⁣ ⁣ we still had NICU time to do. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⚠️⚠️TW INFANT LOSS⚠️⚠️🛑⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ I gave birth to Ryatt and his twin brother baby “b” via cesarean. When my care team asked if I wanted to see baby “b” without hesitation I said YES, but I didn’t want my husband to see him. The loss of Dom’s Dad was still so fresh I didn’t want to break his heart even more. But Dom was ready to see him too. I don’t think Instagram will let me share very much about baby “b,” but he was beautiful. He had the tiniest facial features, sweet tiny little hands and feet, he fit right in my doctor’s hand. He really was the tiniest, most beautiful baby I never imagined I’d be able to see. ⁣ ⁣ After surgery my care team kept asking us if we had a name for baby “b.” We tried to come up with one, but we’d called him baby “b” from the moment we found out about him. So nothing else made sense. Dom remembered the “b” tattoo his dad got on his leg in Vietnam so it was very fitting for him to stay baby “b.” Just a few months ago Dom also tattooed the “b” on his leg. ⁣ ⁣ We decided to cremate baby “b.” Once the weather warms up we are planning to spread his ashes on the Big Horn River. It’s one of our favorite rivers to float and fish. ⛰⁣ Quick Quesh: ⁣ WOULD YOU WANT TO BE MARRIED TO YOU?⁣ ⁣ I asked Dom this yesterday while we were doing yard work. His answer was an enthusiastic, “YES!” ⁣ ⁣ I was like, “really…?
