DAY 004 : NYFW @___ellamae___

In the midst of NYFW, I found myself appreciating the sentiment behind some of the collections I witnessed. There was quiet appreciation, a homage to mothers.

I sat next to @___ellamae___ mother during her show, and we started talking. She shared that the top she was wearing had been made for her by her daughter, in her grandmother’s favorite color.

It’s often the details we don’t immediately notice that speak the loudest to me. The meaning, the memories, the love woven into something as simple as a color or a garment. These sentiments always seem to find me wherever I go, and I love that for me.

At @kidsuper, he had his mother model the final piece of his collection. There was something so beautiful about it…the essence of home, family, and where we come from, brought right into the middle of fashion.

Maybe that’s what stayed with me most from NYFW: beyond the clothes, there are always stories. And sometimes, the most meaningful ones are about home.

DAY 001 | NYFW

“Botanica,” Tyler McGillivary’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, swept me into a world bursting with color, movement, and the ever-changing magic of Mother Nature. I especially loved how the jewelry and accessories brought each look to life, adding those unexpected little details that made the styling feel playful, whimsical, and full of personality.

Then made a stop @jumpman23 x @mowalola where I enjoyed some tasty mock-tails and a well curated event.
