Raising a little girl is the hardest, most beautiful thing I’ve ever done. I’ve been losing my shit more often than I’d like to admit lately. And yet no matter how many times I lash out in frustration, she forgives me in an instant…. just wanting her mommy, just needing a hug. She’s become so attached, so needy, and while I am her everything, sometimes I just need a break. And I am learning that, that’s okay.

We give up so much as mothers… our time, our energy, our sleep, our bodies, our freedom. We pour every little inch of ourselves into these little humans, where we too often leave nothing for ourselves. But I’m learning the importance of DROPPING the the mom guilt. Because being everything to someone is exhausting, and we simply just cannot pour from an empty cup!

To all the moms who feel the same.. let this be a reminder to you to be kind and gentle to yourself. Take the day, a few hours, a moment to reset and find some balance. Go for a walk. Or for a massage. Or for a quiet breakfast alone if you need to. You sacrifice enough. You deserve to take care of yourself too. And if you can’t do it for yourself, then do it for them ✨ your child doesn’t want a flustered, overwhelmed mama. (Who am I kidding, do they even care 😅) - Go find that balance for you 🤗🥰🫶✨ by @chenayeg

Ready for you life. Thankful for every single lesson learnt. For every person that has come and every person that has gone. I am so glad to leave all the old negative stuff behind and to enter the next chapter with a chaos-free state of mind, with a lighter heart and clear intentions. For my single moms and what I wish I knew before becoming a mom and how quickly life could rearrange itself beyond recognition.

Not slowly. Not gracefully.
All at once.

One year you are building a business, dreaming forward, moving through life with some sense of control… and then suddenly you are grieving your father, learning how to keep your blood sugar stable with a scary, gut wrenching type 1 diabetes diagnosis, separating from the person you thought you would build a home with, packing up your life into boxes you never wanted to touch, and trying to explain to a little girl why everything feels different now.. all while trying to create stability for her while struggling to find your own.
