From 2012 to 2026 at University of San Jose–Recoletos, one of Cebu’s top universities. I didn’t arrive here fully knowing who I was, but I leave today stronger, grounded in resilience, and capable of standing on my own. My journey as a Josenian was never a straight path. It was a decade and a half of challenges that tested my patience, my strength, and my sense of self. There were moments when I questioned the “why” behind it all, but looking back now, I understand that this journey was always meant for me.
USJ-R didn’t just offer me an education; it taught me discipline, quiet perseverance, and the values that now define my character.
Even in the most difficult moments, I chose to step into opportunities I once thought were out of my reach. I joined programs I never imagined myself in, explored fields I once doubted I could handle, and discovered passions that shifted my entire perspective. I didn’t recognize this version of myself years ago—but through every risk taken, I became her. Those experiences helped me decide not just what I want to do, but who I want to be.
I have witnessed my own transformation: from a carefree student to someone who carries herself with purpose. This growth wasn’t given or rushed; it was earned. I learned to balance my ambitions with my emotions, to adjust to the world without losing my soul, and to find strength in the struggle rather than the comfort.
Today, I leave with more than just a diploma. I leave with a strength I had to build on my own, and that is the greatest gift I carry forward.
Fourteen years, a thousand lessons, and one transformed soul. USJ-R, you will forever be the foundation upon which I stand. I leave these gates behind, but I carry the ‘Adelante’ spirit in every step I take.
