Twenty!!! Shilah, you are everything true, everything good, the definition of genuine and loyalty, and beauty that radiates Jesus! You are our Shilah Raye sunshine! The deeper someone comes to know you, the more they get a pure example of Christ’s love. I see you, Shilah. I see the strong woman of prayer you are and that you are never self seeking, daily living out an example of how we should live our lives! You love your family to the fullest and better us every day. Pippy’s turn! Our baby, our darling Priscilla is 16! What a joyful princess you are and have always been! You complete our family and the roles you play within our team makes us stronger and better all around! Are you in the middle of a storm? If not, there may be one ahead, or one you just went through. The Bible says, in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” This picture was taken at The Royal Palace of Caserta. The girls and I were walking through it in Italy. It has been there since 1752. This picture that hangs in one of the 1200 rooms comforts me so. I wonder how it comforted and encouraged all the eyes who have gazed upon it throughout these years, or even what it meant to the artist, himself, who painted it. I encourage you to remember to pray for what lies ahead, pray for what you are going through, and then thank God for bringing you through it. May you feel His presence with you regardless of how rough or calm your day is. And remember, He has overcome the world! taken in The Royal Palace of Caserta, Italy by @cheri4bech

You are made of drinking Slidell hose water in the 80’s when playing outside, toughening your feet up for the road ahead by running barefoot on gravel roads as a kid, playing endless sports games in the Louisiana summer heat that prepared you for future LSU two a days, keeping high school friends close, going the extra mile to secure your positions, waiting on the steps for me, knocking on our door to take four little girls all dressed up on dates, dancing in the living room to our girls favorite songs they chose for their dad, Saturday morning breakfast making, grilling the best steaks we ever had, loving every one of your nephews and nieces as your own and including them in our circle of love, literally cheering your cheerleaders on and singing all the chants in the stands on Friday nights, teaching the girls to drive on the golf carts at the Cowboys golf club, making up fun games out of nothing to entertain us all, driving us all around Italy and making silly jokes all along the way, playing closest to the hole/water fountain in the back yard with nephews, praying silently to keep us all good, being present in the inconceivably hard times with your constant love, never complaining for the jobs you do daily, exemplifing Jesus and loving me in such a way that shows our girls what they deserve in their future husbands, and so much more you do that makes us a strong family just by being amazing you! I cannot thank God enough for the man He blessed us with and letting us celebrate you as a father in their lives every day! by @cheri4bech

Here I am and here is my daddy swinging on the swing he made me as a child. (I am writing a chapter in my new devotional about this.) This day marks the day my daddy entered heaven many years ago. I imagine him swinging through his days there in the presence of our Lord enjoying the promises each of us can partake in by accepting Jesus as our Savior. My daddy was a bedside salvation and there is no shame in that. For years he searched for the Truth and finally found it. Today, I am thankful for God bringing my daddy home to Heaven and grateful for the love my daddy poured into me as a child. I love you, Daddy😌 by @cheri4bech

These five simple words. I found them in the back of my Mom’s Bible. If you knew her, you knew she lived by them and you also felt the sweetness of her love. My mom was intentional with letting Christ’s love flow through her. So, on this Valentine’s Day, may we each allow Jesus’s love to be evident not only in our words, but also in our actions. Remembering that Jesus is our first and everlasting love. by @cheri4bech

My lovely angel Liv. 22 years of that sweet smile and joyful laughter. Even as a baby you woke up each morning with a bright smile and ready to enjoy whatever lies ahead for the day! May God continue to beam His love through you, baby girl! We are so, so proud of you and excited for what this year holds. Just feeling overwhelmed. What the world doesn’t see behind the scenes of the NFL is the family of friends that bond daily. The women gather, pray, cry, laugh, show up, keep in touch regardless of the distance between us. We are each others family. We go to each others kids birthday parties, drs visits, weddings, away games, hospital visits, community service, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all of it! Our kids form lifetime friendships through our relationships! The women I have formed bonds with throughout my time in the NFL is one of my most treasured gifts in life. So, Catalina, we are on your six. You don’t have to take a breath without us. We love you and are ALWAYS here for you.
