Hope is more than wishing that things will get better.

Our hope has a name: Jesus!

Life can bring uncertainty, disappointment, loss, and seasons where we don’t know what comes next. But as Christians, our hope isn’t based on our circumstances. It’s rooted in the One who is with us through them all.

Jesus came into the world because God loves us. He lived among us, died for our sins, and rose again so that we could be forgiven and have new life with Him.
That is the hope of the gospel.

And it’s the hope we want to share at Cherish. Not just through the words we speak, but through the way we care for mothers, walk alongside children, strengthen families, and serve our community.

Whatever tomorrow holds, we can have hope because Jesus is with us. 💙

All smiles in Cherish Life Skills! 📓💙

After COVID-19, we took time to reevaluate how we could better improve the education component to our ministry moving forward.

Today, Foundations provides rotation classroom settings, allowing facilitators to spend more one-on-one time with each YP (young person).

Here, YP's are equipped with foundational skills like reading, writing, and arithmetic. But Foundations is about more than academics.

It’s about seeing each student as uniquely created and deeply valued by God and creating a place where they can grow in confidence, purpose, and hope!

Baptism is a beautiful picture of what Christ has done in a person’s life. The old has passed away, and a new life has begun!

We celebrate every person who has taken this step of faith and publicly declared their decision to follow Jesus.

The people preparing meals.
The staff caring for patients.

The teams maintaining the grounds.

Numbers can measure impact. But only God can transform a life. 💙

As we look back on 2025–2026, we’re reminded of God’s faithfulness in every classroom, every patient cared for, every family strengthened, every prayer prayed, and every life pointed toward Christ.

These numbers represent real people—and they represent what happens when a community comes together to serve, give, pray, and believe that lives can be transformed.

At Cherish, football is more than game. It’s an opportunity to bring people together!

When we host football games, we create space for friendships to grow, laughter to be shared, and community to form. We believe these relationships open doors for something deeper—a community where people can experience the love of Christ and grow together in faith. ⚽️

This is Family Strengthening. 🤍

At Cherish, we believe children do best when they can grow up in a family. When we first started in 2007, children lived at Cherish in family-style homes. But over time, we began to realize that many of those children had family members who could care for them.

That changed the way we thought about our work. As good of an institution as we could be, we weren't their family.

Today, our Family Strengthening team walks alongside families, helping parents and caregivers grow in their faith, care well for their children, and build stronger, more stable homes.

We don't want to replace families. We want to strengthen them. Because we believe children have the best opportunity to thrive when they can grow up surrounded by family, love, and the hope of Christ.

Prayer is at the heart of everything we do at Cherish Uganda.

Before lessons begin, before patients are seen, and before home visits, we pause to seek the Lord. We know that lasting transformation comes through Him alone!

Will you pray with us this week?

🤍 For the families we serve to experience hope, healing, and stability.

🤍 For our hospital staff to have wisdom, strength, and compassion as they care for each patient.

And just like that, Christmas in July comes to a close!

What began as an invitation to give has become something we will carry with deep gratitude. Through your generosity, Child Life Skills, Operations, and Hospital care at Cherish Uganda have been strengthened in ways that will continue long after this month ends.

But more than that, we are thankful for the spirit behind every gift—compassion, faithfulness, and a willingness to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
