A year ago, I left The Gambia and moved to Romania. At first, my dream of continuing sports photography felt further and further away. After years of experience in my home country, I had to start everything from zero in a completely new environment.

Everything changed thanks to two people who believed in me when I needed encouragement the most: @_amalianastase_ and @dana.maria1919 . Even when I felt it was too late to apply for my first match, they encouraged me to try. They reminded me I had nothing to lose. I was hesitant at first, but because of their trust and support, I applied and received my first accreditation.

A big thank you to the teams that gave me this opportunity: @fcrapid1923oficial , @csa.steaua.bucuresti , @officialfcvoluntari , and @dinamobucurestiofficial

A special thank you as well to @sportarchivero . Your support, trust, and opportunities made all the difference in this journey.

In just half a season, I had the chance to live my dream again and cover 15 matches in Romania.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who believed in me and supported me along the way. This is just the beginning. taken in Bucharest, Romania by @cherno_jay

A night I’ll always remember.

On 5 October 2026, I had the opportunity to photograph Romania vs Sweden at the National Arena in Bucharest as an accredited media photographer for the UEFA Nations League.

From photographing football back home in The Gambia to now covering an international UEFA match in Europe ,the journey continues.

Grateful for every opportunity, every experience and every step forward.

Thank you for believing in me @mariustudorcom 🫂❤️

Far away, but still close to my heart. 🇬🇲❤️
After years of playing home games away from home, seeing the Scorpions back on home soil hits different. 🦂🇬🇲

A special day, a great win, and a moment I wish I could’ve been there to capture myself. Proud to still be part of the story from afar. 🙏🏾📸
