Hi I’m Cherrie O. singer, peace poet and all about diversity!

This weekend we had our first Braidsparty in Vienna in collaboration with @_gurlzwithcurlz_ . What a wholesome day of self empowerment for ladies and everyone in need of healing of their black and brown female energy and claim their OWN beauty Standards.
Prosi was the first place in the country that offered products we can use for our hair, we couldn’t get in the regular stores. We are so grateful @prosicosmetics supported us with all the goodies we needed for your workshop goodie bags.

We also recommend our local braiders @cynthiashaircouture and @braids_vienna!

The braids party is all about unity and will sure be travelling to your town soon soon 🫶🏽 cant wait to get to know you!

Let’s be honest, not every Kid of the Diaspora grew up learning to cook the food of their roots. But the ones who did? They’re the ones we run to. 😂🫶🏾 Grateful for communities like @ghanafoodmovement keeping authentic Ghanaian cuisine alive and accessible for all of us. 🇬🇭🔥
We met them recently on our Ghana Retreat because we wanted to make sure that #thekidsarecooking

Where are you on your journey with your culture’s or lineage’s food? No judgment here - drop it below
Did you grow up cooking your culture’s food?

Some of us grew up between cultures, between languages, between expectations. Never enough of one thing, always too much of another.
Until we found people who didn’t ask us to choose.
People who simply understood.

But what may sound like coincidence actually needed clear and focused intention.
We have been building our community for the past 10 years and we understood that it is on us to define what belonging truly feels like.

If this matches your vibe, you might just belong with us :)
Follow us and check out our community programmes and retreats or stay tuned to our members club coming out soon.

They say water has a memory.
Many cultures have long believed that water reflects what we bring to it. In his experiments with water Masaru Emoto made visible that it can carry the energy of words, emotions, and intentions.
This beautiful sequence shows the Atlantic Ocean in Ghana.
For some, the ocean holds history .
For others, it calls in the future.
For some, it refelcts privilege.
For others, it is freedom.

For us the ocean contains everything and is a proof of our unity. The waves can regulate our nervous system and have the power to clear our connection to source.

What is the ocean to you? 🌊

@kidsofthediaspora did it! They organized their very first retreat in Ghana.
With a lot of support from friends, mentors, collaborators and our priceless community who we appreciate so much and give thanks to.
Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude for the place and the people.
Here are the 12 most important things Ghana taught us.

Happy International Womens Day especially to all moms of neurodivergent kids!

Yesterday at the Austrian Music Awards was about stepping back into my element ❤️ 🔥 🐎 !!

As an autism mom facing challenges from accepting to reversing (!!!!) the symptoms of the spectrum and advocating for accessibility on a daily base, I cherish moments like these even more!

It felt so good to see old friends and find new friends. And after so many years, it seems diversity is slowly finding appreciation in the austrian music scene beyond the Eurovision Songcontest - congratulations to all award winners!

Thanks to everyone who made this special night out possible for me and to those who motivated me to release my songs and record again 🖖🏽

I’ll try my best to make it happen.

shoutout to my amazing ROCKSTAR babysitters and family supporting me on this journey!

Recap of Kids of the Diaspora‘s “The Divine Feminine” experience inside @ibrahimmahama3’s exhibition ZILIJIFA at @kunsthallewien. The experience combined imaginative practices with powerful sound, allowing participants to connect with their inner creativity and ancestral energy.

The evening continued with a tour of Ibrahim Mahama‘s (@ibrahimmahama3): Zilijifa, led by curator Dalia Touré (@d_toure_art), offering insights into the exhibition and its themes of memory, identity, and expression.

A thoughtful and inspiring experience that brought together reflection, creativity, and art.
