This first week at Saint Mary's University has been one of the greatest times of my life🎇. I began my journey here at the 2026 Annual Santamarian Ceremony where I signed the Saint Mary's ledger and officially became a member of SMU.

I met so many amazing people there including the Dean Of Science Sam Verez, and Michael Khan the president and vice chancellor of Saint Mary's University.

Welcome weeks here was full of incredible adventures with official Science Academic as well as Department level welcomes. There were several fun events including the 23rd annual Astronomy & Physics Symposium in which I got to see the research of current students and aspire to be a presenter the upcoming year. From winning the RAD Cup with my team Purple 💜 to attending one of the top five undergraduate universities in Canada according to the Maclean's university ratings I've already made numerous lifelong memories✨. I cannot wait to see what future adventures I'll undertake at SMU 🔥

Saint Mary's University is truly the perfect school for me to exercise all my ambitions and make my biggest dreams a reality, as it is truly a world without limits. 💯🏆🎆

Remember that your degree is supposed to be fun!

It's easy to get lost in the drudgery of exams and grades and end up forgetting why you chose what you study in the first place. Every now and then we need to remind ourselves what sparked the love 💕 for our interests and remember to enjoy the ride.

XOXO starlets ✨

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been accepted to Saint Mary’s University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics! 🌟🔭

This marks the beginning of an incredible new chapter, and I couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead. Saint Mary’s has a strong reputation for excellence in science and a vibrant Physics and Astronomy community, with exciting research opportunities and connections to Canada’s broader scientific community, including TRIUMF’s work and collaboration with CERN.

I’m especially excited to learn from talented professors and researchers, explore new areas of astrophysics, and take advantage of the many opportunities SMU has to offer. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, building meaningful connections, and growing both academically and personally as I pursue my passion for understanding the universe.

This is the beginning of a journey filled with new people, new experiences, new challenges, and new possibilities.✨

I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. Here’s to new beginnings and the next chapter!🚀

⚜️Throwback Friday post to when I was honored to have recieved the first place Undergraduate Essay Award offered by the Nova Scotia Institute of Science 🔭 for my Essay titled Revolutionizing Mobility: Exploring Brain Computer Interfaces in Robotic Arms 🧠

Some memories remind you of why you chose science in the first place. Attending the honorary dinner with the Dean of science from Saint Mary's University was one of the most defining moments of my scientific career. It reminded me that science is a collaborative effort and our shared sense of curiosity and desire tol change the world 🌎 is what leads to breakthroughs that contribute to our bank of knowledge of the universe 🪐 taken in Saint Mary's University Halifax by @cherry_b0mbshell

The year of 2025-2026 was legendary 🏆. It was full of adventure, happy memories 💖, and new experiences.

Through this year I found my life's mission of coming up with a unified force theory, my love of astrophysics✨, started ReNest Nova Scotia 🕊️ and Stellar Forge technologies. ReNest Nova Scotia has hosted workshops that led to over 50+ nesting boxes being put up and reaching widespread attention from Canada with CBC help. Stellar Forge technologies reached the semi finals of the Conrad challenge and is continuing its development with help from industry leaders.

In addition, I took on a record number of leadership positions including being science representative on the Students Council, founder and president of my school's math society, leader of a group in the Conrad Challenge, and group leader in the Duke of Edinburgh international award. These experiences gave me the confidence to lead both myself and others towards shared objectives and missions.

I had the most wonderful experiences with being on Activate with The Knowledge Society where I learned all about space tech and engaged in projects surrounding quarries and wetlands in collaboration with Shell and inference technology wafers in collaboration with Cerebrus. The Human Nature project was a huge help with me in my environmental awareness and led to my project surrounding water governance with AI data centers.

All in all, this was the best year of my life so far. But what's more exciting is the fact that it laid the groundwork for the upcoming year that I now look forward to. I can't wait to see what will come from the next chapter of my life and the lives of my friends and families as we move forward with new ambitions in mind.

Are you with me?

At the edge of the unknown is where curiosity becomes discovery 🔭

I had the privilege of sitting down with Maria Violaris for the second episode of The Physics Frontier — a conversation exploring quantum physics, scientific curiosity, and the pursuit of understanding the fundamental nature of our universe 🪐. We talked about her work on quantum error correction, theoretical physics, and our enthusiasm on the possibility of the multiverse.

Maria’s work explores some of the deepest questions in modern physics, from the foundations of quantum information to the strange and fascinating ideas that challenge our understanding of reality. What stood out to me most was not only the depth of her knowledge, but her ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity, curiosity, and wonder.

Science is not just a collection of equations and theories. Its a human pursuit driven by imagination, persistence, and the desire to uncover something new. Conversations like this remind me that every breakthrough begins with someone willing to ask a question that has never been answered before 💫

Thank you, Maria, for sharing your journey, insights, and passion for physics. It was an honour to have you as part of The Physics Frontier.

🎙️ Episode 3 coming soon.

Some experiences remind you why you fell in love with science in the first place ✨🌌

I recently had the opportunity to meet Dr. Luigi Gallo and learn about his research group, SMASHERS, and their incredible work in astrophysics. Hearing about their research into some of the universe’s most extreme and mysterious objects was truly inspiring. 🌠

What stood out to me was the curiosity and dedication behind the science. Specifically the drive to understand black holes, gravity, and the fundamental nature of our universe. 🕳️🌎

Meeting researchers who devote their careers to exploring these questions reminded me why I chose to pursue physics and astrophysics. Every equation, observation, and discovery brings us one step closer to understanding the cosmos. 🚀

I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and for the inspiration it has given me as I continue my own journey in research. ✨

The universe still holds so many unanswered questions and it's my mission to help answer them. by @cherry_b0mbshell

Over the past two weeks, I had an incredible experience with Human Nature Projects Canada 🌳!

This year's theme focused on water conservation. As a fellow in the Youth Environmental Advocacy Fellowship, I had the opportunity to learn about freshwater ecosystems, water governance, and ocean habitats 🌊. Along the way, I attended workshops led by experts in the field, connected with inspiring fellow participants, and learned so much from the incredible community around me. 🔥

One of the highlights of the program was researching and presenting on water governance in AI data centres. My research argued that Canada needs a national water governance framework with provincial implementation to effectively manage water use as the AI industry continues to grow. I'm incredibly honoured that my presentation was awarded first place 🥇, and I'm proud to have successfully completed the fellowship.

This experience has meant so much to me. I'm grateful for everything I've learned, and I'm excited to carry these lessons forward as I continue working toward making a meaningful impact on our world. 💙🌎 by @cherry_b0mbshell
