We lost our great and fearless, Sacralicious this past week.
We are truly at a lost for words.
She was loving, sharp, chaotic, resilient, and had a deep love for her people and TXRD.
You will be forever in our hearts and we will always remember to “SKATE FAST!” by @cherrybombs_txrd

TXRD merch is a reflection of our style and our community. we’re proud to use our merch to pour back into our community, too.

Sacralicious is a legendary Cherry Bomb, and a force in our community who left a lasting mark on us all. to continue honoring her legacy and impact, TXRD established the Sacralicious Memorial Fund to provide assistance to injured skaters in need. proceeds from Sacralicious merch items directly benefit skaters who follow in her wake and help them get the support they need to keep rolling 💚💣

10% of sales on all other merch items this Saturday will be donated to Texas Harm Reduction Alliance @harmreductiontx. THRA works on the ground with people across the spectrum of drug use to end the war on drugs and its harms with nonjudgmental and radical harm reduction services, advocacy, education, and training.

come visit us at the merch booth this weekend to support some great causes and rep your team!!

can’t make it to the bout? merch is available online 24/7 at the link in bio 🔗

As we celebrate Latine Heritage Month, we honor the skaters, officials, volunteers, artists, organizers, fans, and neighbors whose talent, resilience, culture, and joy strengthen our communities every single day.

Latine Heritage Month is about honoring the histories, cultures, and contributions of people with roots across Latin America while recognizing that there is no one Latine experience. Our community is made stronger by every language spoken and every story shared.
And joy is powerful.
Because while we’re celebrating, we’re also watching immigrant communities across Texas and beyond continue to be targeted. Families are being separated. People seeking safety are treated like criminals. Racism and xenophobia are being repackaged as policy. We reject all of it.

Roller derby has always been about building the world we want to live in; not waiting for someone else to build it for us. We believe our communities are stronger because of immigrants and folks indigenous to this land. We believe everyone deserves safety, dignity, and the freedom to exist without fear.

This month and all months, volunteer with organizations defending immigrant rights. Know your rights, help your neighbors know theirs, and keep showing up for your community…even when it isn’t easy.

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Latina! ✊❤️

Sacralicious was more than a skater, she was a force of nature and left a lasting mark on us all. We are forever changed by having had the privilege of skating with her, loving her, and the massive hole she left behind. Rest easy, Sac. #skatefast #69 #destroy by @cherrybombs_txrd

Pride isn’t a season. It’s how we show up every damn day. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Queerness is in the DNA of Roller Derby. Built by generations of skaters who made space when none was given. Texas Roller Derby is proud to be a league where trans skaters, nonbinary skaters, queer skaters, and anyone living outside the lines can show up loud, fast, and fully themselves.

In a time when queer and trans folks are being targeted across Texas and beyond, “inclusion” has to mean more than words. So here’s what that looks like in practice for us:
*We skate under policies that affirm gender self-identification
*We build teams and spaces that prioritize safety over gatekeeping
*We amplify queer voices in leadership, not just visibility posts
*We show up for our people when it’s not convenient or cute

And we know we’re part of something bigger than derby. We’re not just skating for Pride. We’re skating for each other.

If you’re looking to put action behind your Pride this month (and every month), support organizations doing real, on-the-ground work:
*Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT)
*Equality Texas @transtexas
*The ACLU of Texas @aclutx
*OutYouth right here in Austin @outyouth
*The Trevor Project @trevorproject

And many thanks as well to @acsasoccer, our partners in celebrating pride in Austin and the surrounding area!❣️
