The new addition has been a wonderful contribution to the sanctuary we are creating for our neighborhood and guests. I often say, "I can't fix the world, but I can make my perfect little postage stamp of what I want the world to be." While it is not always easy to convey the master plan in my head to those helping me, I now have a special scooter that allows me to go out and see everything firsthand.

None of this would have been possible without my "home team" of family, neighbors, and helpers who assisted with moving rocks and planting. I also want to share my gratitude for @aquascape_inc and @aquascapepondshop for inspiring me to chase my dreams through their videos and shop in St. Charles, and for encouraging me to start with a DIY pond kit.

A very special thanks goes to DK, who helped fulfill my larger dream of seeing Ella play in a big waterfall last summer by organizing a team of pro friends to complete the project in just three days. It is a joy to see neighbors walking their dogs past the property, visitors stopping to relax, and local children splashing in the falls to catch frogs. It has truly become my own personal nature preserve.

We have only just arrived earlier today, but we were immediately charmed by the stunning Cherry Creek Bed & Breakfast. We feel like we’re visiting our friend Lori (who we only met today) who is absolutely warm, welcoming, and quite the Christmas decorator.

If it looks familiar to you, it’s the exterior of the home in the movie Groundhog Day and two Christmas movies have been filmed here. We’re watching the latest of those movies, Exes of Christmas Past, tonight.

Please go share our joy of bringing Holiday Magic to Woodstock, Illinois, and the world. Decorating and creating special spots for visitors from all over the world to take photos means a great deal to me and my team.
