The official music video for “Psalm 100 (Give Thanks)” is officially out! We captured this recording live from our Awaken worship night earlier in the year. To be honest, it was one of the first times since my mother passed away that I had stepped back into leading worship. Emotionally, I was completely overwhelmed & spiritually, I was completely anchored in the truth that God is still good & deserving of my praise & affection.

“Bring your sorrows, trade them in.” - it’s not just a lyric, it’s one of the most courageous steps of faith we can take.

I’m so honored to get to carry this song for this season. We can give thanks, no matter our circumstances. Gods character & goodness doesn’t change, in spite of our situation. In fact, it’s when we are pressed the most, that we need to praise the loudest & shout the farthest for that joy that’s promised to us. That’s what this song means to me right now. His faithfulness remains!!

“Mrs. Stark, you have thyroid cancer.” Those were the words spoken to me on the phone on September 22, just 3 weeks after my return to work & 4 weeks after my 38th birthday & 16 weeks after I gave birth to Beau.

Never thought I’d be here. Cancer has a bad rap in our family, being that I saw my Mom take her last breath because of it just 3 years ago. It’s come for many of my friends & family, but this time? It’s now mine to fight.

Of all places, there’s a large (5cm) mass on my thyroid pressing its way into my voice box & my windpipe. The enemy has no clever ways. He’s coming for my throat, and I am coming for him.

With the prayers of so many of you, with anointing oil, daily communion, reciting Scripture, studying up on the diagnosis & recovery, he doesn’t stand a chance.

I’ve felt every phase of grief as I’ve navigated the last 4 weeks. I have my moments of anger, fear, bargaining, deep sadness…but God. I’ve got this faith that helps my eyes rise to the hills. It reminds me that God is a God of His Promises. He has the final say. I’ll submit not to the report of man, but to the report of the Lord.

I need your prayers, friends. I ask you to go to the Father on my behalf. Here’s a list to help as we approach an upcoming full thyroidectomy:
- cancer to be localized solely to the mass & not on the surrounding nerves or lymph nodes
- for precise surgery to remove the cancer fully & no great loss of blood
- no injury to the recurrent or superior laryngeal nerves which control the voice
- for me & my family to fight, & hope & rest in Jesus

Let’s get ready for a miracle!

JUDAH IS 7! 🤎

The day after Adam & I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary, this boy made me a mom. And what a wild, beautiful ride it’s been.

Judah is full of life. Passionate. Fast on his feet, fast in his mind, and even faster with his humor. A natural leader. Alllllll heart. Super smart. A great big brother! And apparently a pretty legit beat boxer now. 😂

His 6th year brought baseball, flag football, a “big boy” Christmas trip to NYC🍎, graduating Kindergarten and one of the biggest moments of his life so far: his baptism. Watching him choose Jesus and take that step of faith was incredibly special for him, and for me. So many times walking through my cancer journey, Judah led me to Jesus. Through his questions, his prayers, and his tender heart, he reminded me to slow down, choose Jesus and pray.

Judahs a great question-asker & a great friend. He’s also always been naturally independent, so when this boy comes close and wants to slow down for a cuddle with Mom, I stop the world 🛑!

Judah, you made me a mom. I love who you are, who you’re becoming, how you think and getting to watch you grow is one of the greatest gifts of my life. Don’t grow too fast this year ok buddy? I’m so excited to see you adventure around Lake Tahoe in your 7th year!

THE STARKS MADE IT TO NEVADA!!! 🏔️🎉

2,196 miles. 4 hotels. 5 days. A LOT of coffee. Good music & bad music. Beautiful views. Wind warnings. One trailer tire blowout. Two old dogs. A 5-year-old. A 6-year-old. A risky Thai food stop. 3 time zones. Plains, meadows, canyons & mountains. Uber Eats (shoutout to P.F. Chang’s & Outback✌️). Hotel breakfasts (what up, Hampton waffles 🙌🏼). Hotel pools. And the absolute BEST partner to trek across the country with. ❤️

And little did I know when we bought our first minivan, Gwenny the Sienny, that one day she’d be the one taking our family home, U-Haul in tow. 🥹🚐❤️

A HUGE thank you to Gramma & Papa for flying in with Beau ✈️ so we could make it happen…and props to ChatGPT for keeping our daily itineraries on track. 😂👏🏼

Officially the longest ride home EVER. And what an adventure it was.

America, you are beautiful. 🇺🇸 God’s beauty & goodness were on FULL display the entire way. 🔎✨

And somehow, we arrived on my birthday. 🎉🥳 What a way to start a new year — and a whole new chapter.

Cross Point Music, what a beautiful journey it’s been. I’ve been able to build, grow, sustain, empower, run, cheer, write, record, & release with you. Our simple goal was to write songs for the house…our house. We messed up a lot, we learned a lot, and conquered a lot! We signed our first Distribution deal in 2019 with Centricity Music, then with CMNDSHFT, and in 2025 with Fair Trade.

We got to do so much together, but there is EVEN more ground to take. There are more songs to write. There are more people to reach…for you, and for me. May the songs we carry bless the Lord, & carry purity of pursuit in every intent.

Thank you for loving me & trusting me to lead in this space, friends. These are the songs I was able to lead for our house. It’s been an honor & a high privilege to do so.

21 years ♥️ Nashvilles been home. Longer than I ever lived in my hometown.

I became an adult here. I married the love of my life here. We welcomed all three of our boys here. I built a career here, sang on countless stages, wrote songs, found lifelong friends, experienced incredible victories, and walked through some of my deepest valleys.

I’ve been broken here.
I’ve been healed here.
I’ve grown here.
I’ve witnessed miracles here.

This city has been so much more than an address…it has been home.

And now… God is changing our assignment.

For years, Adam and I have jokingly talked about “moving to the mountains someday.” It always felt like one of those dreams we’d smile about and then move on from. We never imagined it might actually become our story.

Yet somehow, here we are.

A place we could have only dreamed of is inviting us to call it our new home, and our hearts are full of gratitude, anticipation, and a deep sense of peace.

I’ve learned that the safest place to be isn’t wherever feels familiar, it’s wherever the Shepherd is leading…and of all the sounds I love to hear, my favorite is His voice, His calling.

And He’s calling our family west.

So here we go.

With thankful hearts.
With open hands.
With great expectation for the adventure ahead for our family and our boys.

Nashville, thank you. Thank you for loving us so well. Thank you for the memories, the friendships, the opportunities, the lessons, and the countless ways you’ve become part of our story.

We’ll have more to say before we officially pull away in 10 days, but for now… we simply wanted to say we’re thankful.

One of my greatest joys, honors, & accomplishments as a vocalist is being hired for session work; both lead vocals and background vocals. Thyroid cancer tried to take me out but the Lord spared my voice. Now I sing with more gratitude, joy, purpose & authority! Thank you Jesus for this opportunity singing with my friends @worshipcircle at the historic Oceanway Studios here in Nashville recently. 🙌🏼 by @cheryl_stark

Biggest believer in trips that help reset your footing, refresh your soul, and refuel your tank. So that means I’m a huge supporter of @refuge_foundation! One trip to Montana on a Ladies trip, and this most recent one to Wyoming with my husband and 4 other couples quite literally marked our lives. Adam and I confirmed this trip before I was cancer-free and in a lot of ways, it had been a bit of a lighthouse for us in a dark & heavy season to look forward to.

God was so kind to meet us in multiple ways through rest, fellowship, play, & feasting. We took communion multiple times, & one of those times, God took us on horseback to the top of a mountain where we noticed the terrain behind us as rough & chaotic & the terrain ahead as vast & endless. Jesus heals us in the most beautiful ways & we sure love our friends @k.b.hazen @jeremy_ryne & all our brothers & sisters at Refuge 🫶🏼 by @cheryl_stark
