IVF is an emotional marathon... Studies show people experiencing infertility, and those undergoing IVF are at significantly higher risk for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more.  Yet, mental health resources remain limited. And while fertility has long focused on women, men are not immune to the emotional and financial burden, too. It's an honor to have both @the.ivf.warrior and my book Unspoken: The Unbearable Weight of Infertility highlighted in this important @Forbes piece by Dr. Cheryl Robinson, spotlighting the invisible weight of IVF, including the urgent need for more inclusive care and the broader need for change across fertility and mental health. Unspoken was written for exactly this reason.  For too long, people have suffered in silence. It's time to shine light on the unseen challenges and emotional realities faced by those navigating infertility. The more we talk about infertility and IVF, the more we can change the conversation! Have you or someone you love felt the emotional weight of infertility or treatments? Share to help keep the conversation going. 🧡 by @cheryldowling_
Fertility clinics are starting to add Unspoken to their waiting rooms... Why? Because infertility isn’t just physical. It’s emotional, mental, and identity-shifting. And for too long, that part has been left out of care. It's time to change that. My inbox has been filled with messages from patients and readers who finally feel understood. Who’ve said they wish their doctors, families, and friends could read it too. One even said a few days ago, “I hope your book ends up in every fertility clinic!” If you work in a clinic or wellness space, I’d love to connect. Sometimes, just one copy in a waiting room can change everything. If you are a patient who wants your clinic to carry Unspoken, please send me a dm or tag them below! It's such a simple way to start shifting the conversation and care patients are receiving. 🤍 Unspoken: The Unbearable Weight of Infertility is available worldwide everywhere books are sold (link in bio). 📖 #mentalhealth #Unspoken #bookstagram #fertilityawareness #infertility #ivfwarrior #1in6 #fertilityclinic #patientcare by @cheryldowling_
"Infertility was consuming every aspect of my life, yet no one around me seemed to see or understand the weight of it." It's an honor to have both @the.ivf.warrior and my book Unspoken: The Unbearable Weight of Infertility highlighted in this important @yahoo piece by @eleshepp spotlighting infertility and the power of sharing your story and community. After launching @the.ivf.warrior I quickly saw how many others were struggling. 1 in 6 experience infertility. 1 in 4 experience pregnancy loss. Infertility consumed every aspect of my life, and it seemed like no one around me understood what I was going through. But finding others and a community made a difference. Despite so many struggling, there is still stigma attached to fertility treatments and infertility. Sharing our stories helps others know they aren't alone. "Patient voice isn't a meaningful addition to the conversation, it is part of the foundation." I recently had the opportunity to share my perspective with @unumco on patient experience, fertility care, and why listening to patients leads to better healthcare. Thank you for including me and The IVF Warrior in this edition. You can read the full interview, along with the rest of the edition, through the link in my bio. Follow along for conversations on fertility, reproductive health, patient experience, and healthcare innovation. #fertility #reproductivehealth #patientcare by @cheryldowling_
Sometimes the best reminders are the simplest ones. I take far too many photos and videos of the sky. There's something about looking up that reminds me to slow down for a minute. No matter how busy life gets, it's one of those little things that brings me back to the present. Research has linked spending time in nature to lower stress, improved mood, and better mental well-being. Maybe that's one of the reasons looking up never gets old. What's one simple thing that helps you slow down? 🤍✨️ by @cheryldowling_
A little bit of life lately, in no particular order. 🤍 by @cheryldowling_
The most underrated health habits are often the simplest. Movement. Sunlight. Hydration. Connection. Time in nature. Journaling. Sleep. What would you add to the list? 👇💛 by @cheryldowling_

World IVF Day. 🤍 If you had told me years ago that IVF would completely change the course of my life, I never would have believed you. What started as my own journey became a purpose I never expected. Along the way, it introduced me to a community I never knew existed and to so many people dedicated to helping others build their families. Nearly a decade later, I still can't believe where this journey has taken me. I'm grateful for every conversation, every connection, and every person I've had the privilege of meeting along the way. If IVF has been part of your story, whether personally or professionally, I'd love to hear from you. 🤍 by @cheryldowling_
Infertility doesn’t just change your plans. It changes you... I'm honored to share this deeply personal piece on infertility and how it reshapes your identity, your relationships, and the way you move through the world. I went through years of infertility, multiple rounds of IVF, and recurrent loss. What I didn’t expect was how much it would change my relationship with myself and how little this aspect is talked about. This story is for anyone who’s ever felt broken or invisible. 🖤 You are not alone. 🖤 Your feelings are valid. 🖤 You deserve to be seen. Thank you, @womenshealthmag for shining light on stories that matter. @currie_inahurry and @alucci for your incredible support. @roohijeelanimd and @ihadamiscarriage for your expertise, and many others for your insights for this piece. We must continue these hard but honest conversations. Please share so others can learn about the true impact of infertility, and so others know they aren't alone. Can you relate to this? 🤍 by @cheryldowling_
