We celebrated a little early with a party yesterday. He is already to watch is Chicago Bears play this fall. We celebrated with some carrot cake (my own secret recipe 😉) and homemade vanilla ice cream. by @cherylsokol

Today we took the most beautiful drive through the mountains of Scott County, Virginia a little sprinkle of rain didn’t ruin our fun.

First stop was lunch at The Heritage Table in Nicklesville. Oh my!! Not a 10/10… a full-on 20/10 🔥🙌 So. so. SO delicious. You can truly taste the quality. Everything is made with the best ingredients, and their breads and pastries are made with fresh-miller flour from their mill next door 🌾✨ If you know me… you already know that’s my thing right now 😂 I’m officially obsessed and planning our next trip back!

After lunch, things got a little adventurous… 😅 Our GPS lost service and we got a little lost in the mountains. It made it even more fun. Just winding roads, with mountain top views, riverside roads, railroad tracks, friendly passer byers giving us a friendly wave. Zero rush. 💛

Eventually, we found our way to Mann’s Farm and left with a big bucket of the freshest strawberries and some beautiful veggies!🍓🍅🫛

Then… yes… we got lost again 🤦‍♀️😂BUT we finally made it back to a familiar highway 🙌

Now the real question is… what should I make with all these strawberries?! 🍓😍🍓 by @cherylsokol

Enjoyed seeing Josie Mae in person this weekend. Jeremiah and Madison are such great parents. They make us so proud. I jokingly told TJ goodbye as we were leaving back to Tennessee and started out the door with his baby sister in my arms. He ran after me, grabbed me and said no, you can’t take my sister!! When I looked down, he had tears in his eyes. No doubt he will always protect his sister. 🥹 by @cherylsokol

🎉🎉One of my greatest accomplishments in 2025.🎉🎉
This is me holding 17 lbs of sugar, equivalent to the weight I lost in just 10 weeks. I was blessed to be a part of a 90 day gut healing program, “Simply the Best” with Lisa Bolamperti-Garrett. Since completing the program in October, I have lost an additional 3 lbs (total of 20 lbs 😊) I have gained ZERO lbs through the holidays. I eat bread three times a day!! (The real game changer for me!) The prgram is simple, eating real food that heals your gut. You don’t need to feel hungry. Reach out to Lisa to find out more. Congratulations to my daughter Amy for being awarded East Lake Elementary School’s (Chattanooga) Novice Teacher of the Year. She’s taught 4the grade for two years and is currently teaching 3rd grade. I have witnessed how hard she has worked. She is well deserving of this award! I am very very proud of her! by @cherylsokol
