This post might not relate to you but please read this as it’s something we all do!

For years I always compared myself to people that I thought “looked better” than me and were “more popular” than me and I lost all confidence in my own skin. I know body confidence is so hard for so many people and I’m one of them. I fell into the trap of hating who I was because of these comparisons. I was always the “skinny kid who needs to eat some burgers” and the “weak boy who needed to hit the gym” due to my physique. However over these last few months and years I’ve slowly learnt to accept myself and love me for who I am. We always purge ourselves to look like the people we compare ourselves too and that shouldn’t be happening in this day and age! We need to accept ourselves for being US. At the end of the day we all look the same when we’re sprouting daisies whilst 6 feet under. Just because someone has a defined 6 pack or a chiselled jawline. Just because someone has a figure like an hourglass or they have a pretty face doesn’t make YOU ugly. Underneath the looks and our skin. We’re all just a collection of bones and that’s what’s important. Just because you compare yourself to someone doesn’t mean you aren’t beautiful in your own way! When we’re lowered into the ground after our time has come we will all look the same. So what if you may have stretch marks? So what if you don’t have a figure like an hourglass? So what if you have a bit of a tummy? Everyone is beautiful in their own ways. We just need to learn to accept that and love ourselves for who we are!
