Dave McCabe is heading back on the road this November for a run of UK dates, joined once again by special guest, James Jay Lewis.

They will be playing at Chew’s Yard on Thursday 12th November 2026.

Best known as the voice and songwriter behind The Zutons, McCabe’s move into solo territory has already made a strong impression. “When You’re Young” has been tremendously well received and already a firm live favourite.

Earlier this year, McCabe and Lewis played a run of shows together that quickly gathered momentum, with packed rooms and a great response night after night.

This new tour builds on that, taking them to more venues across the UK through November and into December.

McCabe’s set draws from material throughout his rich writing career, from Zutons classics, to songs he wrote for other artists and glimpses of his new music, the second of which will be released in advance of the tour.

Jay Lewis is a perfect fit for the bill. A Liverpool-born multi-instrumentalist, he’s worked with Cast and The La's over the years, and has been steadily building his own solo following. With songs that carry a classic, melodic British song writing style, and his outstanding musicianship, the two team up together both on their own and each other’s music.

The wonderful singer songwriter Michael Brindley will be supporting at Chew's Yard.

Cat Myers is a world-class UK session drummer and hybrid specialist known for technical precision and blending acoustic and electronic elements.

As an official Roland Artist who helps develop drum samples directly for Roland Japan, she is a go-to player for high-stakes live shows and versatile studio sessions worldwide.

Dave Haslam DJ Set

Saturday 17 October | From 8pm

Legendary Haçienda DJ Dave Haslam returns to Chew's Yard following a standout show last year, which he described as one of his cultural highlights of 2025. Anyone who was there will know it was a night to remember.

Best known for his influential residency at The Haçienda, Haslam played more than 450 sets during the club's heyday, helping shape the UK's late-'80s and early-'90s dance scene. He also DJed at the legendary Spike Island show with The Stone Roses.

His career has taken him around the world, with performances in Berlin, Detroit, Ibiza, Lima and Paris, as well as afterparties for New Order, Depeche Mode and Gorillaz.

Expect an eclectic soundtrack spanning indie, house, soul, electronica and classic dance records, delivered with the style and musical knowledge that has made Haslam one of the UK's most respected DJs. As he puts it: "Playing the best records ever made, one after the other."

MARATHON ON — LDN Marathon 2027 Charity Fundraiser 🏃‍♂️

Get ready for MARATHON ON, a special night of music, good vibes and fundraising — all in support of Samaritans.

One half of Rob, the duo of two best mates both named Rob, is taking on the London Marathon 2027 and raising money for Samaritans along the way. All ticket proceeds will be donated to the charity.

Connor Atkinson
Preston resident DJ and the man behind the popular Connor Curates and Backscape Sounds parties. Expect a set packed with the sounds that have made his events a local favourite.

Ibiza-loving DJ making his debut set, warming things up and getting the night started.

Ellis Greenwood
Blackpool-based DJ making his first ever Preston show, bringing his sound across the border for a special debut.

Chew's Yard Book Club returns on Thursday 15th October at 7.30pm, when we’ll be discussing The Names by Florence Knapp.

A powerful and thought-provoking novel about family, identity and the choices that shape our lives, The Names follows a mother whose decision to change her daughter’s name sets in motion a series of unexpected consequences.

Whether you’ve read every page, only managed a few chapters, or simply fancy joining a friendly group for a chat about books, you’re very welcome.
