receiving my California Naturalist certification with Bolsa Chica Conservancy today and it’s been the most magical summer side quest ever!! i can’t begin to explain the inspiration and hope my cohort has brought me, seeing people who care and connect to the planet and all things on it really eases my mind about the future well being of Earth.

this has also changed my perspective about time, moving slower and moving with intention helped me see soooo much diverse life all around me. waiting for a low tide, walking carefully and slowly as to not slip on algae, or even just moving my eyes slower across the glassy horizon to miraculously spot whales breeching or blowing air out of their spouts.

thank you @bolsachicacon for such an adventurous summer, my eagerness to volunteer and learn more is only going to grow and spread to people around me 🤍

may your field journals live on forever and ever

attended an exhibit for farm workers and labor rights - from my crown down to the soles of my feet i try to amplify my gratitude for the many humans who sacrifice their bodies and strength to keep this country fed. the stories told through art wasn’t just this country or this current time it spanned across latinx countries and numerous decades.

such a privilege to support these artists and the conservation efforts of horticulturalists that make this possible !! taken in The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens by @chey.hern77
