Throwing it back to an old transcript from “THE MISSION.” Piece I created at @danceoncentral @talamomosqueradance ..This scene the astronaut crew experienced a meteor shower and they “supposedly” thought their crew mate rope snapped while trying to patch the hole in the ship to get back to earth.. these dancers for rehearsals had to really breakdown through a character and really get fear into them and making it believeable to an audience that they are also in that place too. I am so proud of these dancers still to this day for going beyond in this 9 minute dance… a 9 minute movie more like…and yes, full astronaut body suits, IT WAS HOT.

ONE BAND. ONE SOUND.

Since I was a teenager , I had to fight between impressing my peers and directors, vs the bigger picture which is just touching that one person in the crowd. To inspire someone, to make the next move in their life ..to be a storyteller, MOVE someone. 1 person watching or 12,000 it didn’t matter to me anymore, what mattered was touching someone, anyone, who listened.

…and here I am standing to this day in front of a bunch of performers who need that reminder, and who appreciate and respect my way of dance life, choreographing , and my character as a human being. Thankyou @loudliveofficial for all of the seasons you continuously brought me back into work with these amazing kids and believing in me so heavy. They all left an imprint on my heart and I have honestly no words to say but thank you and I love you all and I cannot wait till season 8. - Chy by @cheyennekellar

I was going to be doing a commentary on this project and how it came from thought to stage, be on the look out for it.. but it’s truly a dream come true and I can’t wait to see my next idea burst to life on a performing platform. Not to mention the colab with the studio @thephocusedkollective along for the ride and the amazing outlet Pk gave me to express this idea.

I gathered dancers all over the county that are amazingly talented different ages and sizes and cultures. And the music brought so much out of us and gave us all this challenge to dance to this Irish jig in the current generation we are in, safe to say and feel that it was a major success and flooded the doors open with more curiosities to uncover and dry off. . Thankyou to this amazing cast for uncovering one of my curiosity’s. . The RRTD track from the motion picture - SINNERS.

Everything is becoming “the last time doing blank as a family of three.” Bringing another into the world is scary, especially when you have put your whole heart into a little human as it is, but we’re so ready to bring in the holidays as our last as three and Christmas we will be 4. I love doing life with you Brett. by @cheyennekellar

Halloween week 2:
🎄🎁The Nightmare Before Christmas 🎃💀

Soooo my baby shower ( not a huge shower just a get together) is themed nightmare before Christmas, due to baby August arriving on 12/8. Thought that would be so funny to have a “nightmare before Christmas” theme to it🤣.. he’s not a nightmare but it’s getting suuuper real the thought is sinking in that I gotta lay on a table soon, and completely learn to walk again and dance again is coming too fast, but I got faith in god that my recovery will be smooth… it’s in his hands… also, I have been using my upper body and verbal to teach combos and it’s harder then it sounds, trying to explain a move vs being able to show it is one of the craziest challenges I’ve ever faced when it comes to teaching lightly, but I’m thankful I have a hour outlet to just create still, keep the fire going - per say,
Thankyou to these girls at @imperialdancecompany for having so much patience with me in the classes, I will sure be missing you all when I dip for maternity leave. . But of-course the floor will always be there and I will return,

Week 1: stranger things 🔦🚲🧇 DUH.

Alright yall, pretty much only using the half of my body if I even can, but these kids @imperialdancecompany are able to catch ANY ball thrown. And for that they keep my dancing spirit alive.. nothing I wish more then to move my feet and body. But…. I unfortunately have to wait till about March MAYBE.
Not being able to dance or teach much like I used to is really putting a toll on me emotionally, I feel so so dead. .i crave of rolling on the floor, a damn turn once in a while, maybe a good ol kick in the air 😔… my body is litterally breaking and if I do anymore heavy movement, it really can put me at a risk, and I’m already high risk pregnancy as it is.
But… teaching about an hour, hour and a half a week has been truly humbling. There’s nothing I’m more thankful for than being able to atleast TRY, Im Trying to keep it I’m trying to not let it go. Trying to keep my heart where my passion was always since I can remember…. Also a reminder to me I’m giving birth in two months.. like hi your growing a human Cheyenne? let your body grow this beautiful boy, have a safe delivery, so I can jump back in the wagon. It’s temporary, the price is comes with it is bringing a beautiful baby into the world this Christmas. And dance will always be something I will sacrifice for my kids. Over and over.

All I gotta say is,
Thank god for air bags, seatbelts, paramedics and fire departments, hospitals and OBs.. and my family and my son who isn’t born yet(is doing just fine). Not sharing for pity parties or any of the sort I’m just sharing because like…please understand….
Tomorrow is not promised to anybody,
I don’t care who you dislike, I don’t care how high of a horse you’re on. How much money you got, what car you drive, how many followers or views you got, None of that matters 6ft under…

Tomorrow is not a promised… find peace in your heart go to sleep at rest, hug your mom and dad. Get close to god. Period. Thankyou god for this day. by @cheyennekellar

Really trying to just rip the feelings out of them, get yourself to that spot and stage inside where what you feel is real and honest and true, movement will follow like riding a bike in some cases.… and not artificial. It starts with YOU.
