I wanted to give a little update and say THANK YOU so much to everybody who has shown our boy Walter so much love this past week. ❤️

We got him back to the vet for his checkup and got his blood work results back, and we’re happy to report that he’s healing up! His numbers are looking good, including his kidney numbers, which the ER vet was a little concerned about given his FIP history.

His cheek is healing up nicely, too. We’re down to basically the size of a little pinprick, and the vet gave us the okay to let him come out of the cone. Needless to say, he is VERY happy to be out of the cone. That thing really bummed him out.
We did gain a new nickname to add to the list: two-face tina. His poor little cheek was giving 2face from batman vibes.
He’s been such a sweet and affectionate baby this week—lots of snuggles, scritches, treats and extra love. Yet he's still been his playful self!

His brother Jack is in such a better place too. It really did take days for the non-recognition aggression to disapate and the stress was palpable. He's finally back to himself.

Thank you again to everyone for checking in, sending love, and worrying about our boy right along with us. We’re just so grateful that they are doing well 🙌 by @cheyennerufer

13 hours, 3 ER Vets, and a surgery later, our boy Walter is home and recovering. To say the last 2 days have been stressful is an understatement. The non-recognition aggression is very real from his brother Jack right now.
I am truly blessed for an amazing support system - our neighbors were able to feed Jack while we were gone longer than anticipated, Jon's boss was understanding to him calling out last minute to stay home with him, and my bestie and her hubby mowed our lawn because she knew I had a zillion things on my to-do list and they all got pushed aside. I didn't even realize until today because we got home after dark last night. Words really can't express how loved, seen, and supported that feels. They say it takes a village, and im truly grateful for villagers who love us this deeply.
To say your girl needs a break is an understatement. Our first family trip to Hawaii was canceled last minute last week. Now our only camping trip to the forest for the summer is canceled this weekend. Pile on a demanding full time job and teaching multiple classes at the gym, I'm just tapped. On top of that, I hold space for the tragedies I witness daily in this world; multiple genocides, multiple black victims found hung in our nations trees & conviently not a flock camera in site to catch any of those murders, and now climate catastrophe in Nepal, seeing innocent people with full lives of their own wiped out in a second on cctv. It puts out own problems into scale and really makes you think "there are people dying Kim". As stressful as my own problems may be, I know I am not alone. Hug up on your people and pets everytime you can, because tomorrow is never promised. by @cheyennerufer

Video from the Seattle Lights master class from the first night of Gainsfit! This was a 2-hour master class comprised of many different teams presenting.
