Tenants of my body
Grow and decay until one day:vacant
Taut skin will drape over my veins and
The tenants of my body
In the quiet minutes I look back and recall
I find I was not good or bad or anything at all
Several different someone’s inhabited this flesh
The reserved the exhibitionist the religious the atheist
Whoever is next
They leave behind convictions etched into my chest
And paint over the scribbles that the last tenant left

Here are a few photos I took from the set of @thesingersfilm. I swear I can still smell it and there are days where @mikeyung ‘s voice still thunders through my brain. It was inspiring to witness and walk around in this strange yet familiar universe created by the talent and hard work of so many people. @samdavis directed and shot this on @kodak film. Wrote and sometimes improvised the dialogue the day of and here it is. This beautiful, unique short film. It’s played at SXSW and Tribeca and is Oscar qualified. There’s nothing like it, If you have the opportunity to see it, I hope you take it. It really is something special.

Yesterday was a day of relief. Thank you Minneapolis for showing the world what happens when people come together
-

I’m completely disturbed by the police and find it difficult to even look through the photos I’ve taken during my time here. Violent images of police macing or shooting protesters with less lethal munitions until and after they’ve fallen on the ground, images of people describing violence inflicted on them from police images of people describing a loved one who was murdered by the police, press members being attacked by police...
There were hundreds of police in riot gear saturating a grieving community and stomping around with zero regard for the families living there. Toddlers watching through the sliding glass door of the apartment across from the police station too young to understand that the
Teargas canisters
Pepperballs
Flashbangs
Night sticks
Rubber bullets
Bear mace
Are actually meant for the crowd of people who are protesting police brutality and not them but sometimes the projectiles hit their windows and toys and explode on their balcony and fill their home with teargas. I hold my camera, but can’t even take the photo.

Yesterday was the hope of some accountability in the future
Fuck the tribalism already, make police afraid to use deadly force on unarmed citizens. taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @cheyennesbeverley
