had the opportunity to film a recap video for this fire event for my church! my favorite part about making these videos is being able to capture the raw expressions & little moments through a “behind-the-scenes” lens. i learn to observe my surroundings more and it’s by zooming in & paying attention to the little things that make me appreciate each moment more :)

it was such an eye opening experience to meet and network with so many people in the industry. learned so much and excited to thrive further in a place that values growth :)

this one was so special because i realized we attended the same church as this beautiful couple! it’s always such a joy to be able to get to know the couple more. from the small convos and check ins throughout the wedding day, to sometimes forming an actual friendship even after the wedding!

finally decided to post my work from doing wedding content creation! this video was where it all began. i’ve always loved creating videos but never considered tapping into the wedding industry. it wasn’t until my sister @cherylhanphoto gave me these incredible opportunities to work alongside her & her clients, and her confidence in me since day one.

being able to capture the highlights & precious moments, and to allow the couple to relive their very special day forever, is something that encourages me to continue doing this. 🤍

birthdays are often a time when society expects celebration with others, but perhaps you might feel more drawn to solitude in this season. this year i felt a lil conflicted — as i wanted to share this special day with others, but also needed the space to recharge and reflect.

LESSON 03 | feeling lost or behind in life?

a big thing i’ve noticed when i entered my 20s is that there isn’t really “one right path” to life, or is there? growing up we’ve been given a set of timelines and expectations to fulfill, and when we don’t meet them, it’s easy to feel like we’re falling behind.

it’s important to recognize that everyone is on their own journey, and that your unique path is unfolding exactly the way it should be!

LESSON 02 | learning to embrace the mundane seasons

with the fast-paced culture we live in today, we’re constantly looking for the next new, exciting opportunity. we accomplish a goal and immediately seek for the next one. while having huge wins are great, the reality is that life is not always going to be filled with loud moments.

there are “dry desert periods” where it seems like everyday is just the same — nothing major is really happening & no big achievements to celebrate. it’s easy to feel like we’re not making any progress. but we actually do NEED these mundane seasons to prepare us for the next season ahead!

LESSON 01 | your social circle will get smaller

an area of my life that took one of the biggest hits after college was definitely community life. from living on campus & doing almost everything together, to now only being able to see a few of my friends once a week, if our schedules align.

not to mention, meeting new people is also strangely a thousand times harder than before. but i’m learning to embrace my friendships in this new season — it may not look the same as before, but i’m starting to appreciate how meeting up now becomes a choice, rather than a convenience :)
