What an amazing ride it’s been so far! Thank you to everyone who has taken part in @conversations_series What an amazing turn out for a screening at Everyman!And a brilliant performance from @robbowdenking who hosted our Q&A. Thanks to @oscarsbarmcr for sponsoring the event. And thanks to @phixclothing for my snazzy outfit! 🕺 Thanks to @mattfishel and @lightlinesband for your incredible music. This is my first time writing, producing and acting in something of this scale. The mini-series is 6 short episodes aimed at streaming services (out soon!) and I’ve learned so so much along the way. I’ve been trying to get this LGBTQ comedy made for a longgg time, and then last year I got frustrated and we just made it ourselves independently. It’s a very personal story - and believe me, I’ve put it all out there for the world to see. My journey with mental health, sexuality, gender, love, life and everything in-between. I’d feel a lot more vulnerable and exposed if it wasn’t for the amazing team behind this project, and everyone who has shown their love and support - Thank you! Trans women have been using women’s bathrooms for decades in the UK and no one cared. The past few years it’s everyday we’re hearing about the “trans debate”… why? The media are obsessed. Just cos something is a “hot topic” in the US doesn’t mean the UK has to join in!! Whether or not you “agree” with it, there’s much bigger things going on and trans people aren’t the cause - they’re the distraction. Trans women are at far greater risk of being attacked being forced to use men’s bathrooms. Fact. by @chezdanmills

How many trans girls are in girlguides (brownies, rainbows etc) anyway? They’re just kids! Gonna be like a handful of kids told they can’t go tie knots and paint anymore?! Ridiculous. It’s just another pointless attack on transgender to cause division in society, rile up hatred, and distract!! Trans kids aren’t the reason you’re struggling to buy a house, put petrol in your car or food on the table. I’m sick of hearing something every single day now… what happened to people?! Nadia won big brother in the UK and look where we’re at now… I never used to even hear about transgender… or Jewish! I think I’ve met like 5 Jewish people in my life… and now it’s every day someone’s got an issue with other people just living their lives… we’re going backwards and need to stop idolising any idiot with a podcast in America that spews misinformation or videos online and stories that target us through algorithms to make us all angrier… ready to lob my phone in a bin!! Rant over. I think everyone just needs to hug it out ✌️ by @chezdanmills

🏳️‍🌈 Had the best time at winter pride in Gran Canaria last week. Sun, sea, sand, and a lot of laughs with a group of gays! ❤️ I think I’ve been to GC about 20 times now 🙈 but this was one of my fave visits celebrating gay pride! Met up with friends I made years back and made some new! Love you guys. SO much comedy material! by @chezdanmills

A couple of weeks ago I started volunteering at a local charity to help Asylum seekers and refugees. I just got sick of seeing all the negativity and hate, and felt like doing something about it. It’s been really rewarding so far, plus it’s a great excuse for me to get out of the house and treat myself to Bolton’s finest pasties afterwards. I strongly urge others to do the same if you’re feeling the “doom and gloom” every time you look online or at the telly - let’s spread some good in the world! 😊 by @chezdanmills
