Before I forget, and especially now that the Christmas season is creeping up on us, here's where we will be for our upcoming pop-ups.

In November we'll be at CraftFest Holiday Edition at Suntec on 7 and 8 Nov, and then our biggest event of the year, The Christmas Atelier at Marina Bay Sands from 12 to 14 Nov. All the times and details are on the slides. (Get your early bird tickets for The Christmas Atelier now!)

It's going to be a full couple of months. There are school runs in between, and my second son's K2 graduation falls right in the middle of The Christmas Atelier, and other family stuff happening. Somehow it always works out, and I'm so grateful we get to do this as a family.

Meeting the people who use and love what we make is always my favourite part of every market. We can't wait to see you!

Hi, I'm Hemdi. My husband and I run a small online stationery business, and we pour a lot of heart into every piece we make.

Save this post so you have the dates handy, and share it with a friend you'd love to bring along. Come and say hi if you're around!

I was so upset when the paint spilled on my new painting, and I wasn't convinced at all when my husband told me to just name it Overflow.

So on the last day of my pop-up, as I was putting on the final touches, I asked God about it. I didn't expect Him to answer that same day through a girl who dropped by my booth.

I'm still so amazed that God was involved in the whole process, even the name of this painting. I hope this encourages you that He hears you and that He's with you through it all.

Hi, I'm Hemdi. I'm an artist, and I run a small online stationery business with my husband.

Come and see the full collection I'm working on at The Christmas Atelier from 12 to 14 November. It's the only time of the year I show my large acrylic canvases, and I'd love to see you there.

We're giving away 10 tickets to The Christmas Atelier! Comment TCA for a chance to win.

Save this for the days you need a reminder that God hears you, and share it with someone who needs that reminder too.

Back in my uni days, I was a Hindu and I never felt close to God. I was going through a tough time, and one day I asked a friend, “How do you know that God is close to you?” She answered me with a scribble on a piece of paper, and I still remember it 20 years later.

Full story in the slides.

This year, as we designed our new Finding Jesus ang paos, “The Good News", I remembered that moment so clearly. Our prayer is that every ang pao becomes a seed, sown as you share these stories and the love of Jesus with the people around you.

Hi, I’m Hemdi. I run a small online stationery business with my husband, and every design we make is a seed we hope ends up in someone’s hands.

“The Good News” launches at The Christmas Atelier, 12 to 14 Nov. Comment WAITLIST to get first dibs, plus a special deal and a gift just for our waitlist.

Send this to the friend who once sowed a seed in your life.

Every year there’s one season I look forward to, because it’s the only time I get to paint these big artworks. That season is now, and our Once-a-Year Collection for The Christmas Atelier is slowly taking shape 🤗

Most of the year, our art lives on small things like cards, postcards and ang paos. The big acrylic canvases are something I only make for TCA. Each collection is about something the Lord has impressed upon my heart about the whole year.

ChezHemdi means “at Hemdi’s house” in French, and our space at TCA really feels like that to me. It’s where I get to showcase everything we’re passionate about and all the ways we love to express our creativity. It’s my way of opening the door and saying come on in 🏡

So come and find our new collection of canvases at The Christmas Atelier this year! We’ll be there alongside more than 130 founder-led brands, so there’s lots to explore for your Christmas shopping too.

3 years ago, I walked around The Christmas Atelier as a customer, quietly telling God it would be a dream to be part of it one day. 🥹

Then the invitation came and I couldn’t believe it! The cost scared me because it was our biggest pop-up ever. But my pastor told me, “You know, it’s God’s answered prayer.” And I said yes.

Now it’s our third year, and we’re so grateful to be invited again. The Christmas Atelier isn’t just a pop-up for us. It has taught us so much and helped us grow. It pushed me out of my comfort zone to paint big canvases, create new products and even design a little space.

This year, we’re one of 130+ artisanal brands at the 8th edition of The Christmas Atelier at Marina Bay Sands! The boys even asked to be featured in our ang pao design, so of course we obliged! 😆

Although we may feel small, inadequate and overwhelmed, we always hold on to the fact that God goes before us and that He is with us. Often, He uses the smallest yes to do the biggest things, and He equips us for every place He leads us into.

We are small but we have a BIG God 🙌

Hi, I’m Hemdi! My husband and I run a small online stationery business.

If you’ve been holding on to a dream you’ve only whispered to God, save this as a reminder, and share it with a friend who needs to hear it today. 🤗

Can’t wait to welcome you into our cozy little space from 12 to 14 November at MBS Expo & Convention Centre, Level 1, Hall C! 🎄✨

It was getting quiet and I asked myself if I should pack up and go home.

Then a lady dropped by. She told me she was actually looking for a water bottle shop, but the Lord asked her to stop by because it had been quiet. I teared up right there. I knew God had sent her to remind me that He is with me and that He cares for me.

We started chatting and she really encouraged me. She even prayed for me, and I was able to pray for her too. I was ready to call it a day, but God wasn't done with my day yet.

If things feel quiet for you right now, please know He hasn't forgotten you. He sees you, and He knows exactly who to send your way.

You are seen and so loved by Him.

God sees you | encouragement | faith over fear | small business Singapore | handmade sg | Christian women | God is with me by @chezhemdi

Yesterday was a real test of my faith. Our pop-up at PLQ Mall was very quiet, and the whole place around us was closed up. I kept thinking I had made a big mistake having a booth there, and I was sure it was my own fault.

So this morning I was not looking forward to opening the shop. Then a friend messaged me and came down for lunch to keep me company. Later, more church friends came by, and neighbours dropped in with food and drinks.

One lady came especially and told me, "I came to tell you, you are loved and that there are people supporting you." 🥹🥹🥹 Another lady said God orchestrated her time so she was able to come down. I was so, so touched.

God saw me in the quiet, and He sent His people to carry me. He is my Shepherd, and today I lacked nothing.

Thank you to everyone who came down, said hi, or sent a word of encouragement. It means so much to me.

If you’re in a quiet season right now and wondering if you got it all wrong, I want you to know God sees you there too. He hasn’t forgotten you. Sometimes He shows up through a message, a visit, or a friend who just sits with you. Keep your eyes open for the people He sends, because you are more loved and supported than you realise. 🤗

We went to meet a supplier this morning. We thought we could settle this today because of the tight deadline for our upcoming events, but it didn’t go the way we thought.

We walked into an empty office. My first thought was “Lord, what is happening?” but I’m learning that the unexpected parts of the day are still in His hands. These are the times when we trust God without fully understanding.

Running a small business means there will be hiccups along the way, and this is all part of the journey. I’m thankful for my husband who is with me through it all, and grateful that God is walking with us every step of the way.

This is the season I’m finding myself in right now, and honestly it’s a weird feeling. I know God is faithful and good. I trust Him. But when I look at what’s happening in my own life right now, I can’t make sense of it all. I’m sitting in that tension between wanting to believe and not knowing what the future holds. Somewhere between faith and uncertainty.

What I’m learning is that some seasons are more about trusting God than understanding Him.

I came across this devotional about Jeremiah 17 recently and it really encouraged me. When we trust God, we’re like a tree planted by the water with roots reaching toward the stream. The heat still comes and the drought still comes, but the tree stays anchored. It keeps growing and it keeps bearing fruit 🙏🏻

That’s what trusting Him looks like for me right now. It doesn’t mean I understand everything He’s doing. It means I can stay rooted in who He is, even when everything feels quite uncertain.

So if you’re in a season like this too, whatever it is, you can put it in His hands. You don’t have to know how it will all work out to trust the One holding it. His character will not fail you 🥹

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7–8

What would you tell your younger self if you could meet her for teh? I tried it, and she brought her husband 😄

Four years ago, we were getting ready to launch our very first “Finding Jesus” ang pao. It started with the "I Spy With My Little Eye" books our boys loved and my husband’s idea to draw the 37 Miracles of Jesus in it. He spent 6 to 9 months drawing it. We argued about the QR code, we wondered if anyone would buy them, and we worried it looked too different from our watercolour dinos cards. I was even a bit ashamed to put up the red poster at our booth. But I felt convicted, so up it went.

Looking back, I’m so glad we didn’t let the fear stop us. ChezHemdi was never about one style. It has always been about being blessed to be a blessing and giving God our five loaves and two fish. These little ang paos changed us and gave us a new purpose.

Our fourth design launches this November, and I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on. Comment “Waitlist” to get our launch promo and bundles.

If you’ve ever stopped by our pop-up and asked if you can buy our stickers online, this one is for you. 🦕🌸

As a mum of two boys, my days come in little pockets of time, and uploading our sticker packs has been on my to-do list for the longest time. Every time someone came back to our booth asking to buy them again, I felt a little bad that they still weren’t online. I kept telling myself I’d get to it, but it always got pushed back.

Until someone sent me this message the other day:

“Your stickers are really worth it! I really love the art behind it and even more so, the Bible verses 😭 brought dead things to come alive. Or rather dull things haha”

It totally touched me. I want our stickers to bring that same joy and Bible reminders to as many people as possible.

So all 19 of our sticker packs are now up on the website. That’s 12 dino packs with our happy dinos, inspirational quotes and Bible verses to hold on to, and 7 floral packs with soft watercolour blooms and gentle reminders of who you are in Him. They’re printed on waterproof vinyl, so they can handle spills and rain.

Each pack is made by our little husband-and-wife design team with lots of prayer and care. Thank you for cheering us on all this time. It means more than you know. 💛

Save this for your next sticker hunt, or share it with a friend who’s been asking. Link in bio.
