Hello IG fam! I've a confession--I recently became obsessed again. What I mean is, I made Shrimp/Seafood Boil 2 days in a row this week😅.

The first time I made it, I just used Shrimps, Sausage and Corn that I ordered from Grab mart (not sponsored).

I mean just look at that plate, wouldn't you be excited for dinner?

This is how much I spent on the shrimp boil. I just ordered it from my fave Korean grocery.

And then...last night I made another one!

Okay this one is a bit different because this has mixed Seafood in it. And I also used Corn on the Cob and Kielbasa Sausage and marble Potatoes. Added some French Beans because why not?

And this is how much the ingredients I bought were. There were 2 sausages, so I kept the other one for next time!

I mean, just look at that! Seafood Boil with Lemon Butter Garlic Sauce!

1 Onion, sliced thinly
1 Andouille or Kielbasa Sausage, sliced on the diagonal
5 pieces Marble Potatoes, sliced in half
1 Corn on the Cob, cut into 5 equal pieces
2 Tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
1 pack Seafood Mix or Shrimps

Boil Water with Old Bay seasoning, sliced Onion and then add marble Potatoes first because they cook the longest. Strain the cooked Potatoes and drop the Sausages and Corn. It took about 5 minutes for the sausages and corn. Strain and finally add the Seafood Mix, be careful not to overcook. Strain and arrange on your plate. Drizzle with the sauce.

Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce

1/4 cup Butter, unsalted (cut into squares)
2 Tablespoons Garlic, minced
1/4 cup Old Bay Seasoning
1 Lemon, juiced

Cook butter on low heat, add Garlic and cook until slightly browned and fragrant. Add the rest of the ingredients. Keep warm.

And there you have it, super simple but so yummy!

Wow can you believe it, another week has passed! And it's already October, crazy right?! So here's a carousel of my daily meals that may be useful for your #ulamideas

Found this recipe for boiled Pork with Onions and Apples, super simple to make and you can use the boiling liquid as soup, just add Napa Cabbage (or whatever you have) and season et voila! A complete meal!

Another easy peasy meal is this soup-ish I cooked from the frozen soup pack (assorted Vegetables + Doenjang and Gochujang) that I made a few weeks back. I just added Beef Bulgogi cut and seasoned accordingly. Another yummy me made in less than 10 mins.

We were able to catch the tail end of #negrostradefair2026 at @smaurapremier yesterday Sunday. I didn't really plan on going but got intrigued by IG stories/posts about so we had to check it out for ourselves.

Had to try these yummy looking Chicken Empanada from @wawabingskitchen (look at that Kaliskis) so good and filling!

I got intrigued by this stall selling rice cake but the line was too long.

These were the rice cakes called But-ong but I heard someone say it's also Patupat.

I bought these Bacon-wrapped Siomai, I don't recall seeing it anywhere else. And #Bacon is also one of my weaknesses!

These #chocolate Bread Rolls made by my Grade 11 students in Bakery Operations are yummy. I'm so proud of them, from having zero bread baking experience to this!

Also these Fruit sandwiches are awesome! Filled with Yogurt and fruit, sandwiched between soft sliced white bread, so filling and the kiwi sandwich contains one whole kiwi sliced in two, not just slices!

Good morning IG fam! Happy weekend! But before the weekend starts let me share this recipe I tried last Thursday night for dinner.

Have you heard of a Bulgogi Mountain? I haven't either but because I happen to have all the ingredients on hand, I just had to try it!

So first in your pan (I used my wok here) layer your vegetables, first was Kong Namool or Korean beansprouts, then sliced Cabbage on top of it. I also sliced some Carrots, Onions and Leeks and placed them around the beansprouts. I also had leftover Enoki Mushrooms so I also included that. Then thinly sliced Pork on top of the vegetable "mountain" so now we know why it's called a Bulgogi Mountain! This is a great way to use up all the leftover vegetables by the way.

Then make the sauce from:
1 Tablespoon Gochugaru
2 Tablespoons Soysauce
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Tablespoon Gochujang
Water and mix everything and pour on top of mountain.

I adjusted the sauce to my preference but I got the basic recipe from @on.doma

Now look at that! Then I cooked everything on low heat first.

So, how is your September? Mine started out with a lot of rain and it's been affecting my headspace but still finding glimmers (the opposite of triggers) in every day.

Made myself Bibimbap last night, of course it's one of my favorite dishes because it's so easy to put together and has everything. You can actually customize it according to your preference. Mine has Protein (Beef & Egg), Vegetables (Carrots, Broc, Beansprouts), Rice and Gochujang! What more can you ask for?

Just look how yummy everything is!

Another dish I made which I saw from @hubbybap is this super simple Egg over Beansprouts over Rice. She microwaved it but I did everything on the stovetop, still easy and so delicious!

The secret is in the sauce, this is a keeper for sure!

I try to eat Salmon at least once a week.
Just simple pan-fried #Salmon chunks (marinated in Mirin, Soy Sauce), rolled Egg omelette and some Garlic French Beans because your girl cannot eat without her #vegetables

Oh and this one pot dumpling bake which I first saw @chichajo make, amazing!

Easy to make and really delicious!

Sometimes I like to make it simple and just tenderize beef chunks beforehand, cook it with some Beef Bone Broth (always have this in my ref) Radish and Carrots and lots of Leeks!

Here we are again friends, non-stop rain over the metro! Sometimes we get gloomy like the weather and what better way to cheer us up than a comfort meal! Yesterday I cooked Kimchi Fried Rice with Etag for dinner and it was a success, taob ang serving plate!

First step is to render the fat of the sliced Etag. No added oil needed!

What is Etag you say? It's the traditionally salted, sundried and smoked pork delicacy from the Cordillera region in the Northern Philippines. It tastes like a smokier, meatier bacon.

My cousin @maui_mauricia is my Etag supplier, she always buys me a kilo of it everytime she goes home to our province in Nueva Vizcaya.

Look at all that oil rendered!

Then add sliced Kimchi with its brine, Garlic, Leeks and a spoonful of Gochujang and wait for a few minutes before adding your day-old cooked rice.

Tadaaaa! Plate it and add fried Eggs if you like, garnish with the green parts of Leeks, Sesame Seeds and for good measure drizzle a bit of Sesame Oil!

I was asked this question a while back: "What dish can you eat everyday?" I had to think hard and one of those that I answered first was Sinigang of course!

I had some leftover fried Liempo (pork belly) from Saturday so I decided to use that as my protein. And of course instead of just water, Beef Bone broth to make it healthier and add more body to the soup. Then instead of just normal soupy Sinigang I made use of my cast iron pan and made Sizzling Sinigang!
