What textures can the sound of a plastic object trigger? Excerpts from the Dicy2 workshop showcase held this April at C-LAB with IRCAM. Incoming sounds were analyzed in real time using audio descriptors like timbre, spectral pattern, and energy. Artist Chi Po-Hao ( @chi_pohao ) explores the dynamic operations of “Life“ across multiple scales. By transforming diverse biological data into interactive signals for audio and imagery, the work weaves microorganisms, plants, and the environment into the narrative fabric of the exhibition.•In this LA edition, we have introduced new chapters and interactive experiences. 👋 融聲創意正在慢慢準備開工、開展今年各種創意專案 🫠分享我們在工研院進駐計畫《節奏繞纏》中的進度碎片。我們自去年起與工研院「音樂與動作互動健促實驗室」合作，並實際走訪長照據點，研究一種名為「同動車」的有趣輔助器材。其原理是「好手帶壞手」—用健康肢體帶動患側。這引發了我們思考：生理感知（如呼吸或步態）通常是主觀的，我們該如何去「感受」另一個人的身體節奏？我們嘗試將這些輔療設備聲音化，設計出響應式的音樂回饋系統，讓操作過程也像樂器演奏般成為一種表達。我們會持續帶著關於生理回饋與共感的思考推進計畫，敬請期待！🏃‍♂️🔊Sharing updates on “Rhythmic Entanglements,” our residency at ITRI. We’re exploring the “active-leading-passive” mechanism in assistive devices to investigate how to perceive another’s subjective biological rhythms through art. Después de casi cuatro años hoy desmontamos la interfaz sonora #2 en el @mcqro. Un arpa eólica de 6 metros de alto suspendida en el patio del museo, la cual es activada por el paso del viento, señalando el comportamiento atmosférico a través del sonido.Esta pieza fue parte del proyecto Interfaces de lo Invisible en colaboración con @chi_pohao y @geocienciasunam (@vanxf , @carreon_dora ) apoyado por el @sistemacreacion Es muy chido ver como los años marcaron la pieza y emocionante pensar en nuevos lugares desde donde el viento pueda volver a activar la pieza. Por ahora le toca una restaurada, re encordada y mantenimiento. Muchas gracias a @marloweh1936 y al @mcqro por la oportunidad ¡y la paciencia!A @xoaa y @pakikop por su sabiduría. Starting from everyday digital and analogue media, he works with signal paths, timing structures and sensorium, treating signal flow, processes of encoding and decoding and data translation as aesthetic material for considering how listening and relations to environments are arranged and mediated. In recent years his work has been presented at the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria, the RIXC Art and Science Festival in Riga, Latvia, and C-LAB Sound Festival: Diversonics in Taipei.
