This solo gives me chills every single time.

My transcription of @iamelena solo from Common's "Letter to the Free" (Live at the White House).

I think it's one of the most beautiful examples of making a pentatonic scale sing. 🤍

I've always wanted to play guitar, so I guess this is the closest I got 🙃

🎸 Had some fun transcribing Robben Ford's solo on "Help the Poor" to practice bends and articulation with the pitch bender.

🎹 Trying to imitate all the guitar nuances on a keyboard was way harder than I expected.

🎹 Elliott Smith's harmonic language is unlike anyone else's. "Independence day" is one of my favorite examples.

➡️ If this is your first time hearing this song, what do you think?
➡️ Would you like to hear more songs broken down like this?

A little transcription of @lekan.official "Always". Been loving the precision and fluidity of these pentatonic runs. So much musicality in the phrasing 🎹✨
