On January 20th, my beautiful step sister Elizabeth was driving home from her church with her daughter Rima when they suddenly got hit head on in Arizona by a drunk driver with more than 3x the legal BAC limit. They both were rushed to different hospitals where Liz passed away shortly after from injuries. Rima has a broken arm, some cuts, and a neck injury but she is slowly healing physically and back home with her brother Josiah, father Nick, and family.

On behalf of my Lizzy girl, I want to share her story because it deserves to be heard. She is such a beautiful, loving, selfless person who no longer gets to be here to raise her children and continue creating memories with family.

It shouldn’t have to be said, but please, don’t ever get into a car after you’ve been drinking, even if you feel fine. Please don’t let your friends get in a car if they’ve been drinking. There are so many alternative ways to get around.
