Meet our October CreativeMornings speaker, Paige Serena! ✨

This month’s theme is ALTITUDE, and Paige’s story invites us to consider how we can reach new heights right where we are.

Before she began creating content, Paige was planning a move to NYC. Exploring Chicago through food, culture, and community changed her perspective. New connections and discoveries made her hometown feel like a new city, with no ceiling on what she could explore.
A food and travel creator, full-time auditor, and frequent flyer, Paige is a Chicago girl by family, culture, and choice. She brings curiosity, ambition, and a strong sense of personal style to everything she shares, from memorable meals and beautiful spaces to the people who give a place its character.

Join us October 30th at @theathenaeum_chicago as Paige shares how creating content opened up a new view of Chicago and the possibilities it holds. As always, CM events are free to attend. Tickets go live October 23rd! by @chicago_cm

A few highlights with CreativeMornings Chicago. ✨

We loved welcoming Oguguam “OG” Ugwuanyi to Fabrik Chicago for a conversation around CURRENT, creativity, culture, storytelling, and connection.

Thank you to @oguguam, @chicago_cm, and everyone who joined us for such a thoughtful morning together.

#ICYMI, @oguguam @okrrrika showed us you can’t truly be current without appreciating the past and making the effort to keep it alive. A special thanks to our friend Anushree Joshi for illustrating this special event. 💛

Stay tuned for our October event announcement! by @chicago_cm

Get to know @oguguam and take a sneak peek at her amazing collection. We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow for her talk on CURRENT.

Signed up but can’t make it any longer? We will miss you, but please remember to release your ticket so someone on the waitlist can join.

See you all tomorrow at @fabriksocialspaces! by @chicago_cm

Registration for next week’s CreativeMornings with @oguguam is now live! Head to the link in our bio to grab your free ticket. We can’t wait to explore what’s CURRENT with you at @fabriksocialspaces next Friday.

⏰ : 8:30-10am
🏙️: FABRIK Chicago (440 N. Wells St, Suite 630) by @chicago_cm

We’re taking CreativeMornings to @fabriksocialspaces this month. ✨

Fabrik is a new kind of third space: somewhere between home and work designed for gathering, connecting, creating, and building community IRL.

One of our favorite parts of CreativeMornings is introducing our community to new spaces around the city and giving you new spots to gather. Fabrik feels like the perfect place to do just that.

As always, attending CreativeMornings is FREE! Tickets go live tomorrow morning at 8am.

Come discover Fabrik with us, and it may just become your next favorite third space. 💛

Address: 440 N Wells St, Suite 630, Chicago, IL 60654 by @chicago_cm

Our theme for September is CURRENT. It was chosen by @cm_columbiamo, illustrated by Bethanie Irons, and is presented by @Adobe.

What’s current? That new release at the top of the charts. Breaking news. The latest and greatest.
The crackling buzz of an electric current coursing through power lines to light up a neon sign.
The flow of a river always moving downstream. The constant push and pull of the ocean’s tide.

What new ideas and fresh executions are surging inside you? Sometimes you have to grab hold of your creativity like a live wire to spark something shockingly unexpected. Other times, you just need to go with the flow and see where it takes you.

How did we know @oguguam was the perfect fit to speak on this month’s theme? Her multidisciplinary work lives at the intersection of design, storytelling, culture, and connection-exploring how ideas move through communities and shape the way we see the world. Through her creative practice and @okrrrika , her Chicago-based library and cultural platform centered on African and diasporic literature, Oguguam embodies the depth, movement, and connection at the heart of CURRENT.

Our Columbia chapter had this to say about the significance of this month’s theme:
“Current invites reflection on where we are now and where we’re headed. Socially, creatively, environmentally, and personally. It’s a theme that offers room for depth, urgency, movement, and connection.”

We can’t wait to explore where Oguguam’s creative current takes us. by @chicago_cm
