Today was the perfect day for a food festival. Thanks for the invite @tenderfest! There was a lot of good food there, but @hattiebs @seoultaco and @rjgrunts were the standouts for us. #chicagofoodscene #tenderfest #navypier #foodfest by @chicagofoodscene

Needed a quick lunch at 10AM. Ba Le to the rescue. They were baking bread in the back.. Definitely getting more shrimp and pork egg rolls and a bahn mi next time. This is another spot my mom put me on over 20 years ago! #chicagofoodscene #argylestreet #quicklunch #eggrolls #gỏicuốn by @chicagofoodscene

Growing up here, it’s easy to take stuff like this for granted. But let me remind you, we are so, so lucky.

Taste of Greektown wasn’t too big, and it wasn’t too small. It was just right. Opa!

A love letter to Santa Monica… You can’t beat lunch with a view of the ocean, my God.

Halibut, the best asparagus I’ve ever had, with a lobster and corn chowder. Kept it light because I knew I was going to In-N-Out every night. 😅

Shoutout to my seat mate. The man from Philly, who works in Chicago, but lives in California. There are still good people in this world! by @chicagofoodscene

The Fish Fry, at Dawn A.M. Eatery. It’s not often that a restaurant gets every single aspect of your meal perfect, but that’s exactly what happened.

The plan was to handle some business in Hyde Park, and then go to a restaurant in Bronzeville, but they were closed. This place immediately came to mind. It was my first visit, but it won’t be the last.

The eggs were so fresh, they must be from a local farm. I mean scrape the plate perfect. Grits as good as grandma’s, and that’s hard to do! Smothered potatoes, strawberry lemonade, and crispy catfish. This was an incredible meal. Bonus points @dawnchicago for a view of the Obama Presidential Center.
