WHAT CONNECTS US ep.28: ‘What Connect Us’ is often something small and simple — and every week we’re highlighting local clubs and groups bringing people together. ———- @chicas.spin @manumagick @natsiriani @alilykat Miami runs on rhythm, with more women helping shape it. “Chicas Spin” brings them together. It’s part network, part sisterhood — made for women who shake the room. “Being able to shapeshift a room and control the vibe of a room. That’s the best part of DJing,” said Chicas Spin founder, Lilyana Fonte. But Chicas Spin is not just about who can throw down the hardest. It’s about who has your back when the set is over. by @chicas.spin
@miamiironside IRL is a choose-your-own-adventure kind of day 🌴 Coffee with your people, a little wandering, finding something you weren’t looking for, eating something delicious, and somehow ending up horizontal with your eyes closed listening to gongs. 🌿🌀 Comment CALENDAR and I’ll send you everything I have coming up at Ironside next. Community IRL looks a lot like coffee, paint everywhere + a table full of girls making things together. @chicas.spin @ironsidecafebistro Creative mornings IRL > another zoom meeting 🫶 @chicas.spin The village IRL: take the long way, stop when something catches your eye. The best part of shopping IRL is the random little treasure you couldn’t have searched for online. @magiccityflea “We’re just going to look” — famous last words @magiccityflea We made it a respectable amount of time before food became the priority. @ironside_pizza The kind of IRL lunch where “quick bite” turns into hourss yapping together. @ironside_pizza Ironside IRL: apparently one lap around the village is never enough. The itinerary was never going to be complete without this little guy 🧀 @ironsidecafebistro Sound journey IRL: less talking, more listening. 🌀 @alilykatrealm the same village, completely different frequency @alilykatrealm @lily.ishh We came in making things, talking, shopping + eating… and somewhere along the way the day asked us to slow down. That little journey from outward to inward is probably my favorite way to spend a day here. Comment CALENDAR and I’ll send you everything I have coming up at Ironside next. 🪐🌙🦂🪷 by @chicas.spin

Still thinking about this night 💿💞 PASS THE AUX was everything I hoped it would be and more. A room full of women sharing music, stories, tea, art, laughs + little pieces of themselves. It truly felt so special. This started from wanting to create something more intentional than just another night out, and seeing it come to life with @chicas.spin & @lionsden_miami meant so much to me! Thank you to every girl who showed up, brought a song, shared + trusted the space 🥹 and a huge thank you to the brands who helped make our goodie bags extra special: @seekgoodpsyche , @sirianibrothersjewelry , @admaritea , @alilykatrealm + @eatblobs 🥰 veryyyy excited for what becomes from here. This was only the beginning 🧚🏼‍♀️💫 📸 @antaneasha by @chicas.spin
Last week we softened a nightclub into a listening room 💓🫶 @chicas.spin x @lionsden_miami We laid out our mats, opened with sound, poured tea, painted, talked, laughed, and let the songs that have been carrying us lately become the soundtrack of the room. A night that felt simple in the best way: women in music getting to meet each other outside of the noise, the gigs, the networking, and all the pressure that can come with this industry 💓 Thank you @natsiriani for dreaming this one up + holding such a sweet space for the chicas, @lionsden_miami for opening your doors to us, and every chica who came ready to listen, share + connect. 💿✨ And we’re already gathering againnnn: THIS SATURDAY — ART IN THE PARK with @dr3bae_ 🎨🌳 Chicas Spin membership is completely FREE and gives you access to our community chat + member meetups like these. Join us through the link in bio 💗 📸 shot beautifully by @antaneasha by @chicas.spin

the BTS of community building 🫶🏻 what an amazing afternoon with @chicas.spin this is the wellness + community side of Miami people don’t talk about!! TY @alilykat & @dr3bae_ for creating this space for female creatives to connect, support & grow 🤍 #Miami #MiamiWellness #MiamiGirls #MiamiEvents #spaceyoga by @chicas.spin
Music is taking me on a journey I truly never imagined I’d experience. This was absolute “pinch me” energy, and I’m definitely not getting over it anytime soon. What a vibe, what a beautiful afternoon! Huge thank you to @chicas.spin for making this happen, and @yogiinvaders for having me; this right here is the part of DJing that feels so deeply fulfilling. @tifftopia led such an incredible class, and the community’s energy was beyond words. 🫶🏼 Can’t wait until we do it again. For now, I’m holding onto this memory and holding it close. Until next time… Mucho Love, PATI Were you there? Drop me a message, let me know if you enjoyed it as much as I did! 📸 @nawhual by @chicas.spin
