We are (Chinyere) Peace Amadi and Ndidi Amadi, otherwise known as the real-life Chichi and Didi!

We are so happy you have found our home online!
A few years ago, as a passion project, we sat down together to pen our stories about growing up first-generation, Nigerian-American.

But what once started as something we hoped to share with family and friends has blossomed into a multi-book series with our publishing friends at Waterbook & Multnomah, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

Delighted that our stories have resonated not only with other Nigerian families, but families from all over the world, we hope our tales of learning to love who we are, embrace our cultural stories and chase adventure always will inspire friends everywhere to do the same.

We hope you’ll stick around for the journey. Welcome to Chichi and Didi’s world!

Xoxo,
Peace & Ndidi by @chichianddidiworld

Purpose… the one thing you keep getting pulled back to. Even when you talk yourself out of it. Even when it’s inconvenient. Even when you’ve tried to outrun it with a hundred other more “practical” plans. Purpose is bigger, stronger, certain.

Stay tuned for more on this.

Thank you to @umuigbounite for this gift of a moment ❤️ by @chichianddidiworld

❤️Synopsis: Summer is here, and Chichi and Didi are off to piano class! But while Chichi plays beautifully, Didi has trouble finding her groove. Playing piano is boring—she wants to move! With the help of her family, Didi goes on a quest to figure out which activity she’s perfectly designed and gifted to do. But what if she’s not good at anything?”
