Football is back!
Kicked off the season with middle school football, Stephenson MS vs Cedar Grove MS. After 4 quarters of no score, Cedar Grove got the win in OT. But, my son and your favorite nephew held down the D line. I don’t know who this is for but, I am going to share, and I pray it blesses someone. 🙏🏾

I have been on my fitness journey for a long time. If you know, you know. Many of you have witnessed it over the years. I would lose weight then gain back more than what I lost. Then one day, you go to a routine doctor’s appointment, and your longtime physician sits down, arms folded, legs crossed, and looks at you with a stone cold face, and says this chilling statement, “You’ll be dead in five years…at the rate you are going, you’ll be dead within five years”. As I left the appointment, the drive home was silent and sad. But, the most audacious part is I pulled right up, with tears in my eyes, to Chick-fil-a and ordered a full meal WITH an ice cream and brownie! 🤦🏾‍♀️
I kept neglecting my health to make time for everyone else. Then, one pivotal moment, as my physician laid down the harsh truth—“all of your efforts will not matter if you become a burden to your family, or even worse, die.”My mindset began to slowly shift, and I do mean slowly.
Today, I try very hard to make the best choices for my health. I’m not perfect but I am doing the work.
So, this post is your sign to be a bit selfish. Prioritize your health, physical and mental. It will not be easy, but you are ABSOLUTELY worth it. Bonus: With the money you save, you can purchase more sunglasses 😎😉
