Hi, I’m Chichi 👋🏾

Depending on how you know me, you probably already know that. However, you may know me in different dimensions: the wedding planner, event planner, Airbnb Manager, or Christmas gifting girl 🙈

The truth is, they’re all me.

For almost 10 years, I’ve been happily working behind the scenes, building, creating, solving problems and having far too many ideas that I somehow always feel compelled to bring to life.

I’m a repeat founder and multi-hyphenate entrepreneur, but the thread connecting everything I do is simple:

I create experiences in events and hospitality.

Today, that looks like building across 2 continents:
✨ @QwintPerfect — event experiences in Nigeria 🇳🇬
✨ @QwintAndCo — elevated niche celebrations & event experience design in Canada 🇨🇦
✨ @OakSuiteLiving — hospitality & property management experiences in Canada 🇨🇦
✨@thechristmasgiftingco — Christmas gifting experience in Nigeria 🇳🇬

Different businesses. Same obsession: creating thoughtful, memorable experiences that bring people joy.

And after years of staying comfortably behind the scenes, I’ve decided to come to the front a little more.

So for the next 30 days (So help me God), I’ll be showing up! Sharing the businesses, the ideas, the lessons, the wins, the messy bits and probably some of the random thoughts that become businesses. 😂

I’m Chichi.
I build businesses. I create experiences. And I love creating joy. 🤎

This is Day 1 of coming to the front! by @chichioduntan

One thing about me, I wear many hats, but being intentional about creating beautiful memories with my family will always be a priority. ❤️

A visit to the farm was on Ara's fall bucket list, so of course we had to make it happen! 🍎🎃

A beautiful day spent @springridgefarm making memories with my babies and my mum. Three generations, lots of laughter, and little moments I'm so grateful to God for. 🥹🤎

And somewhere between motherhood, running businesses, and everything else life throws my way, these are the moments that matter the most.

Here's to romanticizing the everyday, being more present, and documenting the memories along the way.

One thing I wish more people understood about Airbnb is that listing the property is the easy part.

I get asked all the time:

“I want to get into Airbnb. Do I just furnish the property, take nice pictures, put it online and that’s it?”

And the answer is… not quite. 😂

The part people see is the listing.

The part they don’t see is everything that happens after a guest books.

Guest communication.
Pricing.
Check-in.
Cleaning.
Maintenance.
Restocking.
Parking issues.
Lock issues.
Late-night messages.
Reviews.
Turnovers.
Making sure the next guest walks into a property that feels exactly the way the photos promised.

Short-term rental can be a great income stream, but it is not as passive as people sometimes imagine.

It is a hospitality business, and hospitality is hands-on.

That’s also why good property management matters.

At @oaksuiteliving , we manage the day-to-day so property owners don’t have to become full-time hosts just because they own a short-term rental.

COME TO THE FRONT · DAY 5

I’ve been thinking a lot about authenticity in events.

There’s so much inspiration everywhere now. We see beautiful celebrations, beautiful details, beautiful ideas and naturally, some of those things become trends.

But I don’t think every beautiful idea needs to become yours.

For me, the best events are the ones that feel like an extension of the people at the centre of them.

Their personality.
Their values.
Their story.
Their culture.
The things they genuinely love.

Inspiration is beautiful. Trends can be beautiful too.

But before adding something simply because everyone seems to be doing it, I think the better question is:

Does this actually feel like us?

Because your event shouldn’t feel like a collection of everything currently popular.

It should feel like it could only have belonged to you.

That, to me, is what makes a celebration memorable. by @chichioduntan

A vulnerable one for #FaceMeFriday.

There’s something strange about looking back at a version of yourself who was so certain about where life was going.

I think what I’m learning is that you can miss an old dream without wanting your old life back.

You can honour the person you were, the things she wanted, the work she put in, and still accept that your life was always going to become something else.

Maybe nothing was wasted.

Maybe some seasons are there to shape you, not define you.

And maybe one of the greatest lessons is realizing that you cannot plan your life better than the One who holds it.

He is the Master Architect.

I may not have understood the blueprint, but I’m learning to trust the design.

Purpose can look very different from the plan you started with.

And I think I’m finally at peace with that. 🤍 by @chichioduntan

COME TO THE FRONT · DAY 03 🎯
SHOOT YOUR SHOT.

So here’s mine.

I want to plan one destination event in 2027.

Not because I haven’t planned big events before. I have.

Not because Qwint Perfect hasn’t grown. It has.

But this is one thing I’ve wanted to do for a long time and somehow never really said out loud.

I want to take the @qwintperfect experience beyond Nigeria and Canada and create something beautiful somewhere new.

Europe. Mexico. The Caribbean. The U.S.

A wedding. A milestone celebration. A special event that deserves to feel intentional, beautiful and unforgettable.

So instead of quietly hoping the opportunity finds me, I’m putting it out there.

If you’re planning a destination event in 2027 or you know someone who is, I would genuinely love the introduction.

Maybe the opportunity is already sitting in someone’s contact list. 😂

So yes, this is me shooting my shot.

@qwintperfect is ready to travel. ✈️🤎 by @chichioduntan

This was the event that changed something for me.

When I moved to Canada in 2021, I was angry. If I’m being completely truthful, leaving Nigeria was not my first choice at the time.

I felt like I was finally getting to a really good place in my career and with @qwintperfect , and suddenly I had moved countries. In my mind, event planning was something you had to physically be there to do.

Remote planning? It genuinely did not exist in my head.

I think sometimes we can only imagine as far as our eyes can see.

Then this opportunity came.

Someone dear to me trusted me enough to believe that I could deliver this event from thousands of miles away probably before I fully believed it myself. 😂

And my first answer was actually no.

It felt impossible.

Eventually I thought, you know what? What do I actually have to lose? Let me try. Shout out to Deji and my best friends for encouraging and pushing me.

So I did. Very much with my heart in my mouth. 😂

And I had to trust the team I had spent years working with, training and pouring into. I had to trust that the standards, systems and vision we had built were strong enough to work even when I wasn’t physically in the room.

We delivered.

And what came after this event still amazes me.

One event became another. And another. And another.

Today, @qwintperfect executes events in Nigeria pretty much every single month while I live in Canada.

I actually don’t talk about that enough.

And if I dig deep, there’s probably still a little part of me that worries about people saying, “But she’s not there.”

No, we’re not perfect.

But the team is solid because the vision is solid. The standard is clear. And I have watched God reassure me again and again that what He gives you is not always limited by location, circumstance or what you thought the plan was supposed to look like.

Bringing this one back because it reminds me that sometimes the thing you’re convinced you’ve lost is simply about to take a different form.

And sometimes, you just have to try.

Day 02. Bring it back. 🗣️ by @chichioduntan

My children have the VERY BEST FATHER.

It's no wonder their favorite parent is him. (I sometimes ask them, am I a floor mat? 😅😅) but I get it honestly. If I had a dad like him, he would be my favorite too. The time and effort he expends daily to ensure their lives are good is no joke!

My goodness! His role as our spiritual covering? Doesn't joke with it at all! When I was pregnant with Ami, this man prayed and fasted every single day for 9 months! Every single day till Ami was born! I remember at 25 weeks, I started having contractions out of no where! I got to the hospital and the doctors and nurses were panicking because they couldn't find the baby's heartbeat. My heart was racing! I was going into a panic attack. When Deji arrived, he very calmly walked in, looked at all the frenzy that was happening and said " No one is having a baby today." I remember my OB looking at him like is this guy for real? They were already prepping the OR, the chopper to evacuate us to a specialist hospital was already enroute! He looked at me and repeated the same thing! I was hysterical but something about the way he moved and talked calmed me down. Very much so, things started to calm down, the baby's heartbeat was found, surgery canceled etc.

A man of faith, a man of integrity, a man of honor and character. That's who Deji is and I thank God every single day that my children have a father worthy of emulation. It's a gift not just to them but to me. My inner child is healed just from watching Deji and the father he is to my children.

Happy Father's Day to the WORLD's BEST DADDY! You are amazing and incredible in every single way! by @chichioduntan

On behalf of the birthday boy, I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to all our aunties and uncles for the birthday wishes, prayers, gifts and love.

May God Almighty continue to bless and keep you all. The birthday boy had a blast on his birthday and is definitely the calmest 1 year old celebrant everyone has ever met 🤣🤣

In other news, welcome to JOYFUL JUNE!!! 💕💕🌸🌸 by @chichioduntan
