Opportunity was in the room this week! I enjoyed meeting job seekers and employers at the city’s Fall Citywide Career Fair, held at @KennedyKing6301. It was great to see Chicagoans making connections, exploring new possibilities and taking the next step toward their future. @chicagocopa @chicagocta @chicagosmayor by @chicityclerk

For more than 30 years, @mitierraofficial has been part of the fabric of Chicago's Little Village community. This father-daughter Hispanic-owned restaurant offers much more than a meal. From its colorful atmosphere and traditional Mexican dishes to the families and celebrations that have filled its tables over the years, Mi Tierra represents the neighborhood businesses that help give Chicago its identity. During #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth, we're celebrating the entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses that have invested in our neighborhoods, created jobs, preserved traditions and helped generations of Chicagoans feel at home. Here's to Mi Tierra, and the many Latino-owned businesses that keep Chicago moving forward.

It features a plate with two tacos, garnished with cilantro and onions, accompanied by roasted jalapeño, rice, and a colorful assortment of sauces. The background has a colorful design with star motifs and the text "SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER 2026" in the corner. A logo from the City of San Antonio is present. by @chicityclerk

Last month, we welcomed our 2026-2027 ChiNEXT cohort with a lively kickoff in our Auburn Gresham Neighborhood Network!

Thank you to our special guests:

✨ Keynote speaker @chicityclerk Clerk Anna Valencia, who shared what motivates her as a prominent leader in Chicago’s civic landscape

✨ United Way of Metro Chicago Chief Strategy and Development Officer Kimberlee Guenther, Ph.D., who presented on the “The State of Chicago” and our region’s biggest challenges — and greatest opportunities

✨ @6figga_dilla with Chicago Mahogany, who led an entertaining and engaging bus tour of Auburn Gresham and Englewood

Shoutout to @morrisons_soulfood for catering a delicious lunch and @gagdc_chicago for hosting us.

We’re excited to support our second ChiNEXT cohort and cultivate the next generation of Chicago’s civic leaders. Together, we’re strengthening communities and creating a region where everyone can thrive. 🙌🏾
