That's Fighting Music fundraiser gig for QLB. Featuring: Chickspit, Lauren and the Goodfights, Capes and Crowns, might be Miki, and other queer Boorloo artists.

Tickets
Unwaged:$10
Waged:$20
Solidarity:$40
(Link in bio)

24th Oct, at the Boorloo activist centre. Doors open 5:30.

Funds will be put towards building the capacity of queer people to organise for our collective liberation through Queer Liberation Boorloo. More specifically fighting back against the threat of the growing far right which is existential to trans people, pushing for the Western Australian government to implement long promised changes to the equal opportunity act (including protecting trans people from discrimination regardless of their legal gender status, and closing loopholes which allow religious institutions to discriminate), and to end the inequalities in society which create the conditions for far right politics to grow. #music #poetry #politics #queer #transgender #boorloo by @chickspit_band

SWIPE FOR PRIZE RAFFLE INFO!

🏴 🎸 🤘 MELT FACE with some of Boorloo's best bands (and DJs!) on Friday, Aug 21 as we raise funds for the Anarchist Group in Sudan (AGS)!

Tickets are $20 standard; $15 for Buffalo Club members; free for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples & Sudanese diaspora. Scan the QR, or find the link in BSA bio.

75% of ticket sales will go to ASG; 25% to our performers. We'll also have $5 raffle tickets and zines for sale on the night through the Black Swan Anarchist infoshop, to raise extra funds for our Sudanese comrades.

The peoples of Sudan are currently experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis in recorded history. Approx 19.5 mil Sudanese are currently facing crisis levels of food insecurity, while more than 13 mil have been displaced by the conflict between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), and the imperialist backers of both sides.

The AGS was founded in 2017, during protests against dictator Omar Al-Bashir. During the 2019 revolution that overthrew Al-Bashir, the AGS organised within the local resistance committees, advocating anarchist tactics and strategy. Since the current conflict broke out, the AGS have been feeding people through community kitchens, assisting refugees & IDPs, and educating the people about anarchism. Funds raised from the gig will be donated to the AGS through their fundraiser at https://opencollective.com/support-sudanese-comrades and allocated through the group's internal democratic processes to fund mutual aid work, pay legal fees & daily expenses, and support individual members deprived of income due to conflict and displacement.

Stay posted for further info...

A bit late getting this one out I’ve been distracted and flat out lately. This was my last gig with @chickspit_band and what a way to go out. Awesome night, great crowd, and somehow we even got the Mayor of Fremantle down in the pit. taken in Perth, Western Australia by @chickspit_band
