Allow me to reintroduce myself — Umeofia Ebube Chidinma (B.Sc/B.Ed, ACA).

A milestone achieved through God’s grace, countless sacrifices, resilience, and the unwavering support of family and friends. Every late night, every challenge, and every lesson along the journey has led to this moment.

Today, I proudly step into a new chapter as an Associate Chartered Accountant, grateful for the journey and excited for the future ahead. Here’s to growth, excellence, and greater accomplishments. ✨

MY ICAN JOURNEY: GRIT, TEARS & GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

In May 2023, I began my ICAN journey at the Foundation level.
I passed Management Information with ease, and I was hopeful.

Then came the Skills level — and life happened.

Balancing my business and NYSC, I had to break the exams into phases.
In November 2023, I passed Financial Reporting and Taxation, but failed PSAF.
I completed my NYSC in October 2023, believing the worst was behind me.

By May 2024, I registered for four papers:
Audit, PSAF, CSME, and PM.

At the same time, I had just resumed work as an External Auditor — extremely demanding, mentally and physically. Coupled with running my business, I was terrified of PM and PSAF.

Nothing prepared me for what happened next.

I passed PM, CSME, and PSAF — but failed Audit.

That failure broke me.
One paper… again.
Skills level held me back once more.

Still, I didn’t stop.

I attended Final level classes while preparing again for Audit at Skills level.
In November 2024, I rewrote Audit — and I passed.

On to May 2025, I wrote all five Final papers with confidence.
I was sure I would clear everything.

Results came I passed four and failed SFM.

I was shattered.
I cried for days.
I lost strength, motivation, and the will to read.

But in October, something changed.
I told myself: “You must finish this year.”

I read day and night.
On the bus.
At the office.
On the road.
Even while sewing.

On 21st December 2025, I celebrated my birthday.
And God gave me the best birthday gift — SUCCESS.

GUYS… I’M CHARTERED. 🎓

If you’re on this journey and feel stuck, tired, or delayed — please don’t give up.
Your story is not over.
One paper does not define you.
Consistency, resilience, and God’s grace will always speak louder.

What seemed impossible

Started the year as a B.sc/B.ed holder and ended as an ACA holder also

The journey was tough but God walked with me
He gave me a new song and a new dance steps
He turned my tears of sorrow to tears of joy
He gave me the best birthday gift ever
My best year yet
2026 is going to be great
God did it
