Lately I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about leisure. We live in a world that glorifies constant hustle. Busy has become the new badge of honor. But the truth is, life isn’t meant to be an endless sprint—it’s a rhythm. Just like day gives way to night, and summer shifts to winter, we need both expansion and contraction.

Yes, grind hard. Build, sacrifice, and push yourself… But just as important—learn to rest, recharge, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Work with intensity. Rest with the same intentionality.

You can’t fully understand what you haven’t lived.

The more I’ve pushed myself, the more I’ve realized how much growth comes from struggle—not just success.

My Jiu Jitsu coach once said, “Winning is only half the battle. Learning how—and when—to lose is the final step.”
