Some creative ideas stick with you and never leave your mind. @shortstache had this one floating in his brain for years… to capture an actual surfer in the desert landscape of White Pocket, AZ.

Together we made it happen. And for the first time, the film “The Heat Wave” will be premiering tomorrow morning at 11am EST on YouTube.

Featured Artist + Director + Editor @shortstache

Garrett has always viewed the White Pocket landscape as wave like formations. So he wanted to shoot that artistic vision from a new perspective like nobody has ever before.

Cinematographer @cassheridan

Garrett envisioned gallery style artwork that could live on the walls of people’s personal spaces and in their homes. So each photograph was framed with that intention.

We found ourselves in the most unreal Mars-like landscape full of various textures, depth, light/shadow play and endless creative possibilities.

The crew that made Garrett’s vision of “The Heat Wave” a reality… Thank you @polarpro for backing the project.

Art show and live premiere tonight 6/19/26 at @thelighthousecampus in Brooklyn, NY at 6pm taken in White Pocket by @chiefofnowhere
