Being hard on yourself is not discipline.

I believed it was for years.

Every time I wasted a day, I called myself a loser. I thought that voice would push me to do better.

It didn’t. It kept me on the couch even longer.

Because when you feel like nothing, you do nothing.

What actually works?

Being kind to yourself. Even on the bad days. Especially on the bad days.

You don’t need a new week. You don’t need Monday. You just need the next minute.

I’m still learning this. Some days I get it right. Some days I don’t.
