Something unexpected is happening in Sweden. 🇸🇪

In one of Europe’s most secular nations, more young people are showing renewed interest in Christianity—asking questions about God, reading the Bible, attending church and exploring baptism.

The Church of Sweden reported its highest number of new members in 20 years in 2024, with teenagers making up a notable share. Confirmation among 15-year-olds also increased for the fourth consecutive year.

Swedish Radio reported that around one in three people aged 16–24 say they believe in God, while priests have noticed more young people coming to church with questions and asking for Bibles.

For a country long associated with secularism, the renewed curiosity is striking. Whether this represents a lasting religious shift remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: a new generation is asking deeper questions about faith and meaning. ✝️❤️ by @chika_okorie
